Furtado to Donate $1 Million to Charity

"In 2007, I received 1 million$ from the Qaddafi clan to perform a 45 min. Show for guests at a hotel in Italy... I am going to donate the $..." This was the content of Canadian singer and songwriter Nelly Furtado's message on her Twitter account earlier today. Furtado referred to the Libyan leader Muamman Gaddafi who had been condemned of using violence to suppressed the uprising of the people of Libya. Diplomats have estimated a death toll of 2,000 in nearly two weeks of fighting.

It was reported that Furtado's spokeswoman could not be reached at this moment to clarity to which charity the Grammy Award winner artist is designating her donation.
