Chaske Spencer – The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, part 2
We have spoken to you a number of times over the years, since New Moon came out. How has the journey been with this franchise and the cast for you?
It's been an amazing experience, I really enjoy working the cast.
Now that it is coming to an end, what is the feeling like amongst yourself and fellow cast mates? Is it sad that it’s ending or kind of bittersweet?
A little sad to see it end but like all good things it must come to an end.
In Breaking Dawn, part 1, we saw Sam and Jacob disagree, and the pack split off into two. Now that Jacob has imprinted on Renesmee, what will we see in the second part with the clan and the pack looking at a vampire battle ahead?
You are in for an exciting experience and a lot of action! I don't want to reveal too much for those that have not read the books.
Will this film deviate from the book much? I know sometimes that is a tough subject to approach with the fans.
I think they did an amazing job keeping the films in line with the book as much as possible.
In the past, fans have filled the sidewalks, parking lots, and sometimes the street, for premieres and red carpet events. What do you think the pandemonium is going to bring this time, as it is the final film?
I think it's going to be a huge turnout as it's the last film, I expect and am excited to see a lot of fans at the premiere.
What has been your favorite part about playing Sam?
It would have to be the experience I had as an actor to explore the character that is Sam, a strong leader. I also really enjoyed bonding with the other members of the wolf pack.
Out of all the movies you’ve done in this franchise, do you have a favorite? Or maybe a favorite scene you’ve done?
My favorite would have to be New Moon, it was all so new and exciting and none of us knew what we were in store for.
The fans are what have carried these books and films to the level they are. What would you say to the fans if you could say anything now that it is all ending?
Thank you so much for all your love and support, you have giving me a job and aiding in developing my career. The fans made this the success it is, period.
Aside from the upcoming Breaking Dawn release and press you are doing, do you have any other projects we can be on the lookout for?
Yes, I do. I have WINTER IN THE BLOOD, a movie based on the James Walsh novel and also SHOUTING SECRETS, a dramady and also DESERT CATHEDRAL which is a very moving independent film.
Anything else going on with Be the Shift or other charities or organizations you may work with?
It's always ongoing, always trying to make a difference. For example there is a woman Christina Herl who was inspired by the movement and is collecting clothing and other items to bring to the PINE RIDGE RESERVATION.
