Varierty reports that Lionsgate is moving forward to remake the cult thriller "American Psycho."The 2000 film directed by Mary Harron was based on the novel of the same title by American novelist Bret Easton Ellis. Christian Bale played the young investment banker, Patrick Bateman. Willem Dafoe, Reese Witherspoon, Chloë Sevigny, Jared Leto, Justin Theroux, Josh Lucas, Cara Seymour, and Samantha Mathis starred alongside Bale.
The remake is in development and cast hasn't been released yet.
In 2002, Lionsgate released a direct-to-video sequel to the psycho thriller titled "American Psycho II: All American Girl" starring Mila Kunis.
