American actor and star of the franchise film "Fast and Furious" Vin Diesel,recently confirmed that the 6th and 7th film in the series are in the works.
According to Diesel, the 6th movie will be split into two movies.
“We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages. The studio said, ‘You can’t fit all that story in one damn movie!’" Diesel explained.
It is unsure whether the films would be two-parters or two standalone films.
The first "Fast and Furious" film in the franchise came out in 2001 while the last one came out on 2011.
