Michael Jackson's last home's furniture auctioned

The contents of the house the late King of Pop resided last (Holmby Hills mansion) was auctioned by Julien's Auctions yesterday, December 17th. It was reported that over 500 items were sold including "fine art, antiques, furniture and other items. Included in the auction were original artwork by Jackson and his three children.

A mirror that holds a message the King of Pop wrote himself was sold for $18, 750. Jackson wrote "Train, perfection March April Full out May" on the mirror which was in his master's bedroom.

There was also a chalkboard that sat in the kitchen which was sold for $5,000. It has a message from one of Jackson's children that says, "love Daddy/ I (heart) Daddy/ Smile it's for free."

The items that sold for the most were a watercolor paiting by Maurice Utrillo ($35,200) and an oild painting by Adelsteen Normann ($46,785.)

According to Julien's, the auction's total was over $1 million.
