"The Social Network" star Jesse Eisenberg and "Jane Eyre's" Mia Wasikowska will be joining the up-coming project by Richard Ayoade based on Dostoyevsky's novella entitled "The Double."
"The novella details the story of an insignificant man driven to near breakdown by the appearance of his doppelganger.
Funny, frightening and dream-like, Ayoade promises his film will reflect on loneliness and our need to love and be loved."
"The Double" is co-written by Ayoade and Avi Korine ad produced by Amina Dasmal and Robin Fox (Alcove Entertainment.)
Ayoade is widely known in the U.K. for h is comedic TV shows including "The Mighty Boosh" and "The IT Crowd." Ayoade also directed the film "Submarine," an adaptation of Joe Dunthorne's coming-of-age tale.
"The Double" is set to shoot in the U.K. in the spring/summer of this year.
