Walt Disney Studios announced today that Monsters, Inc. 2 has been pushed to June 21, 2013 from it's original release, November 2nd, 2012.
The first film, Monsters, Inc., a massive success, was released in 2001. The second film, which was revealed as a prequel to the first movie will be titled Monsters University and will focus on Sully and Mike's rivalry and eventually friendship as they attend the University of Fear.
Monsters University will be directed by Dan Scanlon (story artist for Cars and Toy Story 3.) John Goodman, Billy Crystal and Steve Buscemi will all be reprising their roles as James P. "Sulley" Sullivan, Michael "Mike" Wazowski, and Randall Boggs.
