American actor Aaron Eckhart will be starring in the upcoming adaptattion of Kevin Grevioux's graphic novel "I, Frankenstein."
Stuart Beattie who helped developed "The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" will be directing the film. Beattie was also credited for his writing in "Collateral," "Derailed," "30 Days of Nights," "Australia," and "G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra." "I, Frankenstein" will be Beattie's directorial debut.
“Mary Shelly’s story is about the creation of the first human being. This is the story about that being becoming human,” Beattie said about the Frankenstein movie which will start filming in January 2012 with a February 22nd, 2013 release dates.
Eckhart who played Harvey Dent in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" is also starring in the indie film titled "Pan," an update of the classic Peter Pan.
