Deadline reported today that Warner Bros. are in the talks of hiring actor/director Ben Affleck to direct an adaptation of Stephen King's "The Stand."Affleck directed the films "Gone Baby Gone" in 2007 starring his brother Casey Affleck and "The Town" in 2010 which he starred in.
"The Stand" was adapted into a TV miniseries in 1994 and was directed by Mick Garris. It starred Gary Sinise, Miguel Ferre, Rob Lowe, and Molly Ringwald.
