Kristen Stewart Kicks Butt!

By all accounts Snow White and the Huntsman is not a fairytale for small children. Although, when Matt Lauer asked Kristen if it was okay for his 5-year old to watch she answered, "It depends. When I was 5 I watched some really scary movies."

Kristen's Snow White is a sword wielding, armor wearing, fighter. She might be the one to bring life back to the land, but she can do some damage as well. During filming she accidentally broke Chris Hemsworth's nose.

"I swear I didn't mean to. He got too close." She told Today. They looked friendly during the press events, so there couldn't have been very many hard feelings.

Kristen says about her character, "...It's so much more from the heart, and she really moves toward fear and doesn't back away from it, so it's really cool to watch her."

Cowgirls 'n Angels arrives for a limited release on May 25th, 2012

Cowgirls 'n Angels

Artist on Demand alumni, Jackson Rathbone, is currently promoting Cowgirls 'n Angels, which is a family western about the the world of professional rodeo. He plays Justin, a cowhand that sees a little romance. The film also stars Bailee Madison, Alicia Witt and James Cromwell.

Here are a few excerpts from a Huffington Post interview with Alex Simon:

Does the fact that you're a Texan give you a natural inclination towards horses and anything western?

Jackson Rathbone: (laughs) I'm definitely a big fan of Westerns. I grew up loving all the spaghetti westerns and am a huge Clint Eastwood fan. So to get a chance to do a western and a family film was too good an opportunity to pass up. My mom is always saying "Y'all should do a nice family film, something that people of all ages can go see." (laughs)

You've had a tendency to do more family fare. Do you even have any R-rated films on your resume?

Well, yeah there are a couple, but I like to bounce around and try to do a variety of stuff. But most of it is PG or PG-13.

I saw that episode of Criminal Minds that you were on, playing a serial killer. You were scary.

(laughs) Thank you. I love doing those kind of roles. I've got a film coming up in about two months that's a little bit along those lines, but I'm not that evil.

Cowgirls 'n Angels seemed to have great chemistry among all its cast. Tell us about working with Bailee Madison.

She's amazing. She's like a 47-year-old in a 12-year-old body. Not only is she an incredible actress, she's a wonderful person. It's nice to see such a young actress be so composed and grounded. A lot of times you watch a movie about a kid growing up and you feel like you're watching from afar. With Bailee, I think she really draws you in, in a way that's relatable.

You're also a musician? Yeah, I'm not in a band at the moment, but I'm always jamming with friends and just playing with it, having fun. Who are some of your influences? For my solo record that I've been working on, Jack White, The Black Keys and Tom Waits are the main influences. Very bluesy rock and roll with kind of the carnival side.

Rest in Peace, Doc Watson

Arthel Lane "Doc" Watson passed away Tuesday at the age of 89. Doc was an American Treasure who revolutionized the way the guitar is played, because he couldn't play a fiddle.

He revolutionized not just how people play guitar but the way people around the world think about mountain music. Watson was born in Deep Gap, N.C., in the Blue Ridge Mountains, in a three-room house he shared with eight brothers and sisters. He brought that humble, yet soulful, background in to ever piece of music he played.

Watson went blind when he was around a year old, from an untreated eye infection. When he was only 11 when his father made him a banjo using the skin of an dead cat.

"He brought it to me and put it in my hands, and said, 'Son, I want you to learn to play this thing real well. One of these days we'll get you a better one,' he said. 'Might help you get through the world,' " Watson recalled.

Has the Zombie Apocalypse Begun?

This weekend in Miami police shot a naked man eating another naked man's face. The attacker failed to cease and step away at the officer's request, the officer shot the attacker. He continued to eat the other man, after he'd been shot. Witnesses claim the policeman fired around six shots, before the attacker stopped.

The attacker was killed and the victim is in the hospital recovering. The police are suggesting the cause might be cocaine psychosis, but even Tony Montana never tried to eat another person's face. However, the Miami police were ready to defend it's citizen's in a timely fashion.

This is a heartbreaking occurrence, one man is dead and the other gravely wounded. Our hearts go out to the man and his family.

It may give zombie predictors and survivalists something to consider for a time to come. Are they coming for you, Barbara?

The wonderful people at Little, Brown have something wonderful coming up for all the Twihard's. On October ninth, over a month before the release of the final installment of the Saga, they will release The Twilight Saga Complete Film Archive.

This beautiful book will contain cast secrets from the sets, have removable script pages, VIP invitations, and other collectibles. Interviews and previously unreleased photos of Kristen, Robert, Taylor and the rest of the cast.

The movies may be almost complete, but the phenomenon continues.

Chernobyl Diaries in theaters tonight.

Last night on the show, we spoke with Devin Kelley who stars in Chernobyl Diaries. Devin had a lot of really interesting things to say about the filming of the movie, how close the cast got during filming, and about acting scared when you already know what is coming in the film. If you missed the show you can download it from iTunes or check it out here.

Turns out, the actors didn't always know what was going to happen, so many of the "Boo" moments were genuine. Devin also said that the locations they were filming were remote and "heavy" with some of the things that actually occurred there.

That makes me want to ask you a few questions -

Do you like horror movies? If you do, do you like the ones that are filmed in a "real" style?

Do you think that places, such a Pripyat the city represented in the movie, retain (for lack of a better term) an after effect of the things that happened there?

Chernobyl Diaries Synopsis

Robert Pattinson Rumored to Play Finnick Odair in Catching Fire

Rpattz has won the hearts of millions by playing the beloved vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer, but now he is rumored to be taking on another book series gone cinematic.

Robert Pattinson is rumored to be in talks to play the impossibly handsome Finnick Odair in the upcoming Catching Fire movie, which is the second movie in The Hunger Games series. Odair is said to impossibly beautiful, even a bit arrogant about his looks, but is later found to have a deep story and be an overall great human being.

No confirmations have been made about this rumor, but we are curious to see who ends up with the role.

Best Dressed: 2012 Billboard Music Awards

Fashion was at a high on Sunday during the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. Who do you think looked the best? The men brought their A games as well, suiting up nicely and the ladies were as stunning as ever. Take a look at a few of the standout outfits from Sunday's festivities.

Julianne Hough glittered her way down the carpet into the awards show in this stunning sparkly number.

Music new-comer Carly Rae Jepsen looked elegant with sleek hair and floor length gown.

Carrie Underwood looked just like a princess in her gown.

Katy Perry dropped the all blue hair and went for more of an elegant look her stunning lavender gown and shoulder length hair.

Alicia Keys and Gladys Knight rocked the awards in black ensembles and looked oh-so-stunning doing it!

Taking an opposite approach, Miley Cyrus and Monica donned all white apparel. Miley wore a short jacket style dress and black and white Laboutins, while Monica showed a little peep of skin with her white gown.

Taylor Swift looked stunning, as usual, in her floor length red gown. She later accepted the award for Woman of the Year.

Purple was the it color, as Brandy showed off this summer look!

Justin Bieber worked spiked hair and his typical Bieber swag!

LMFAO brought a little color to the carpet with usual their out there attire!

Many awards were handed out last night at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. Adele walked away with 12 awards, including Top Artist and going up against herself for Top Billboard 200 Album, where both her albums, 21 and 19 were nominated. LMFAO came out with 6 awards, and Coldplay & Lil Wayne followed that with four each. Check the list below to see which of your favorite artists took home awards!

Finally Dead - Charlane says goodbye to Sookie

"Dead Ever After" will be the last Sookie Stackhouse novel. It is to be released May 2, 2013. It isn't a complete surprise to readers, last year Ms. Harris said this about the series, “I think it’ll be total closure. I don’t go back to things once I’ve finished them. That’s kind of what I do. I don’t want to write Sookie after I get stale.”

I hope Sookie gets a happy ending.

Tom Gabel from Against Me! Talks about being transgender.

The thirty-one year old Against Me! front man tells Rolling Stone that he has a condition called gender dysphoria. He plans to undergo steps,possibly including gender reassignment surgery, to become a woman. His new name will be, Laura Jane Grace. He plans to stay married to his wife with whom he has a two year old daughter.

Against Me will tour with The Cure this Summer. They are most well know for their hit
"Thrash Unreal"

Highway to Hell - The long awaited release of Diablo III is almost here

Dungeon Rats take heed, after a seeming endless wait, Diablo III will be released May 15, 2012. To make sure that their servers were properly configured for launch day, Blizzard Entertainment hosted an open beta weekend in April. Although, it was far from perfect (Hence - BETA people!) it was fantastic to be able to visit the world if only for a few short hours.

You can choose to play the Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor or Wizard. To sum up their playstyles — the Barbarian and Monk are close combat specialists, the Demon Hunter is a marksman and trap expert, while the Witch Doctor and Wizard are soft but devastating

The wait has seemed long; however, Tuesday will be here before we know it. Diablo III will be $59.99 when it launches on May 15th and will be available as a digital download from Blizzard, or via the more traditional boxed copy. I am looking forward to playing my future new favorite game.

Hello Kitty Must Die is Deliciously Twisted.

Hello Kitty is an iconic cute little white cat that little girls love, right? Yes. However, there is another definition that I didn’t know until I read this book by Angela S. Choi.

Hello Kitty, adj; A term used to describe an educated, well-mannered Asian American woman who feels torn between the traditional Chinese values of her family and the social mores of being an American girl.

Just like our protagonist, Fiona Yu, who at the start of the book is a 28 year old virgin. She works seventy hours a week as an associate in a law firm where she wears fabulous clothes and shoes but is treated like chattel. She works weekends at her family dry cleaning business and listens to her father’s plans to find her a nice Chinese man. Grrrrr.

If you like Chuck Palinik or are amused by the twisted, dark and a bit wicked, I recommend this book. It visits the angst, frustration, and yearning that most young women feel then slips in to a more dangerous, but amusing in a craven way, that most only read about.

This is Choi’s debut novel and I look forward to more.

Lady Gaga's Tea Cup and Saucer auction for over $ 75,000

A teacup and saucer used by Lady Gaga sold for more than $75,000 at auction on Monday. Gaga used the cup at a news conference in Tokyo after the tsunami in March 2011.

The cup was kissed with her lipstick, autographed and marked “We pray for Japan”. All the proceeds will help Japanese students who want to study in the United States.

Payment was required before the winning bid could be confirmed. The cup and saucer were brought in the second highest bid for the charity. The largest was for a crystal piano used by a Japanese rock star.

Rihanna Misses SNL Rehersal but Shines on the Show

Rihanna called in sick for the dress rehearsal for her Saturday Night Live performance this past Saturday. Lorne Michaels the shows producer takes the dress rehearsals very seriously and was angry that Ri bailed. The rehearsals are preformed in front of a live audience right before the actual show.

Reportedly the singer was in the building but felt too ill to perform for the rehearsal. She wanted to save her voice for the show and had a doctor come to give her a shot of penicillin. Her representative told TMZ.

She showed up looking fine for the show and despite the earlier illness and the backstage tension, she performed wonderfully.

Grandma Shaaaaaaron - Jack Osborne is a father

Jack Osborne and his fiancee Lisa Stelly welcome a daughter named Pearl. She weighed in at 8 lbs., 6 oz. “The moment I saw her I felt more love than I’d ever felt for anything. It was the weirdest, most overwhelming thing,” Jack said to Hello Magazine.

Two weeks after they announced their engagement in October, Jack and Lisa found out they were expecting. Jack is the 26 year old son of Ozzy and Sharon Osborne.

Grandma Sharon said, “It’s incredible to see Jack holding his baby girl, walking around so confidently. He’s very nurturing and he and Lisa are so good together.” No comment from Grandpa Ozzy, yet.

Beloved Author Maurice Sendak Dies at 83

Maurice Sendak, most know for his children's books, died today from complications from a recent stroke. Mr. Sendak wrote dark and moody books and is regarded a one of the founders of the "dark fantasy" genre. The children in his books were selfish, rude, obstinate and occasionally ran away from home; as a result, adventures ensued. An illustrator of about 80 books and author-illustrator of another 20, Sendak had won almost every important prize in children's literature.

Sendak didn't appreciate being pigeonholed as a children's writer, but said. "There is something in this country that is so opposed to understanding the complexity of children," he said of the controversy kicked up by some of works on a recent appearance on the Colbert Report. "I don't write for children. I write ... and somebody says, 'That's for children.' I didn't set out to make children happy or make life better for them or easier for them."

Maurice Sendak was a wonderful artist and if you are not familiar with him, you should be. I have a very clear; albeit short, memory of pulling Where the Wild Things Are from a shelf in my elementary school library. After immediately sitting down and reading it, I thought "Now this is the kind of book I like."

Rest in Peace Maurice Sendak. Now your wild rumpus begins. I hope it's fun and amazing.

Goodbye and Twilight....

On May 3, 2012 Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson completed the final re-shoots in Vancouver. Bill Condon, the director of the fifth movie in the franchise, said that nothing drastic is being changed with these re-shoots. Condon added, “Our Part Two puzzle is finally coming in to full view.”

The cast of the Twilight franchise has always had a complicate relationship with the city. They were constantly monitored by press and eager fans during their time in Vancouver. Rob and Kristen left early on the morning the day after the re-shoots were completed.

Are you looking forward to seeing them play Bella and Edward one last time?

AnnaLynne McCord Stands Against "Hollywood's Perfection Requirements"

AnnaLynne McCord, who is well known for her roll on the CW hit show 90210, made a bit of a stand this weekend against the requirements of beauty perfection in Hollywood. On Friday, the Hollywood starlette tweeted "I woke up this morning and decided I'm over Hollywood's perfectionr equirement. To all my girls (and boys) who have ever been embarrassed by their skin! I salute you! I'm not perfect - and that's okay with me!" She accompanied it with the following photo, makeup free, and not completely flawless.

In most instances, you see McCord with her face smoothed to perfection, meeting the standards of beauty in Hollywood, but in our opinion, she couldn't look more gorgeous in her au natural state! Fans bombarded her twitter with praise for standing up for the average person, who is not flawless. We certainly salute her for her bravery and give her a virtual high five for the bit of inspiration!

'The Avengers' Takes Highest Opening Weekend Ever

If you were not at your local theater this weekend, we aren't sure what you were doing. 'Avengers' starring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, and many, many more, opened on May 4th with a bang!

Hopes were high for Marvel's 'The Avengers', and high is what they got! Although the movie fell short of the opening day record behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part 2, which grossed $91 million opening day, The Avengers still hit $80.5 million. After that, it soared to the top of the box office with a record breaking $207.4 million for opening weekend. This not only broke the record, it shattered it! Previously holding the best opening weekend spot was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part 2 with $169.2 million. It also grossed an additional $441.5 million in foreign release.

The Avengers also took recognition for being the fastest movie ever to reach $100, $150, and $200 million, while also stealing away new high records for Saturday and Sunday, with $69.7 million and $50.1 million.

The Avengers was the perfect mix of serious moments, action sequences, and light hearted comedic moments! The movie is expected to pass the $400 million mark and possibly even reach the $500 million mark before exiting theaters.

Make sure to swing out to your local theater and check it out, even if you are not a huge comic fan, this movie has something for everyone!

New "The Amazing Spider-Man" trailer

A new trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man" has been released:

Personally, I cannot wait for this film. There are a lot of aspects in this

reboot that we didn't see in the previous Spider-Man films. Andrew Garfield

definitely brought in something different in his portrayal of Peter Parker and

Spider-Man. His Spider-Man seemed more darker compared to the one played by

Tobey Maguire. It could be the 'secret' behind his identity that gave this Spider-Man

a different depth. But no spoilers here! So we all shall wait when it's released on

July 3rd, 2012.
