Justin Bieber Punk'd us!
Today he let fans in on the joke after elaborate viral stunt to promote his new clip with Nicki Minaj. He recently tweeted that his camera and computer had been stolen with some very personal footage on them.
The Internet went crazy with just how personal the footage was and there were some (also hoaxes) pictures of Mr. Bieber's equipment (and we are not talking about his computer or camera here.)
Justin created a fake twitter account (@gexwy) to say that the footage found on the stolen computer would be uploaded to the Internet. However, it was all to create a viral campaign for his new Believe video.
Bieber confirmed the suspicions by making a statement just before the clip was dropped and the beginning of the video keeps the jest going by saying, "In October of 2012 three hours of personal footage was stolen from musician Justin Bieber. The following footage was illegally uploaded by an anonymous blogger."
The video is shot as if Justin is holding the camera and it in grainy footage then at the end, like most home videos, it just cuts off.
What do you think? Were you fooled?
