Upcoming Olympic Games will be held in London, UK in 2012. And the stars of the country's most famous rock groups - the Beatles, Rolling Stones and Sex Pistols might come together to perform at the festivities' opening.It has been reported that organizers of the upcoming 2012 games are working on a opening that will be directed by Academy Award winner Danny Boyle.
Sir Steve Redgrave, a gold medal-winning rower revealed his hope to see Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr team up with Sir Mick Jagger and John London for a spectacular supergroup displaying British music talent at the opening.
He stated, "The London Games gives us a chance to celebrate our own history... We have to show the world what we are good at. If Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo came together with great bands like the Rolling Stones and the Sex Pistols it would be fantastic. They are a huge part of our history. It would kick off the party and put us centre of the world's attention."
