Nelly, the rapper, is the latest in a series of celebrities to find trouble at a Texas border checkpoint. Sierra Blanca, Texas, police say a search turned up 36 baggies of heroin, more than 10 pounds of weed, and a loaded .45 caliber pistol.
Officials say one of the occupants of the bus was arrested after admitting the drugs and gun belonged to him, reports AP.
In a statement, Nelly blamed his staff member. The rapper said, "Neither I nor anyone else on the tour bus was aware of his decision to bring these."
Oh Nelly, good luck with that. The same sentiment goes out to Willie Nelson, Fiona Apple and Snoop. If you can't say no, through another checkpoint you should go.
