Ricky Martin Takes to the Small Screen

Ricky Martin has recently been performing in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Evita" on Broadway, but now, the Latin megastar has other things lined up and will take to the stage for the last time on January 26th.

The Grammy-award winning singer will then head Down Under to Australia to replace Keith Urban as one of the mentors on the second season of The Voice (which, as an Australian, I'm very excited about!). However, he has reassured everyone that he doesn't believe in tough love and won't be taking the harsh-but-true approach so favoured by a certain Mr. Cowell.

Martin says "I believe in love, and I believe in being nurturing to new talented men and women," which is most likely music to the ears for the new batch of The Voice hopefuls.

In addition, the father-of-two is in the process of developing a new "dramedy" for NBC, set to air in 2013 and is also putting pen to paper, writing his second book.

It looks like 2013 is going to be a whirlwind year for the superstar and we wish him all the best with his new projects!
