Hellcats RECAP
This week started with the Hellcats doing their cheers with Alice being back for her first practice. The volleyball girls come in for their practice and don't like the idea of having to wait, so one throws the ball at Alice and knocks her off her pyramid. Alice gets in her face and the volleyball girls and ends up making a deal to play them in flag football to prove they are athletes. What do they have to do if they lose? Cheerleading in their underwear. So Lewis starts coaching the girls and it turns out they suck! Savannah can't catch a ball to save her life, but Alice is good at throwing, so she is named QB, and Marti is good at catching so she becomes the WR.
Marti then finds out that her law school stuff is going to get in the way of the game and she has to go to Nashville with her special assignment. The problem is that the special assignment could get her a summer gig, which looks great on a law school resume. She decides to fake sickness, but Savannah catches her and Marti confesses that she is missing the game because of the trip. Savannah informs her that just because she isn't a law student doesn't mean she doesn't have a dream she is working for. Then she walks out of the room and tells the other cheerleaders that Marti is sick and won't be playing, but doesn't spill her secret.
Between all this happening, Lewis finds out that his father was cut down on hours at work and has been taking a payout from Lancer to keep hush hush about some of the previous years football issues. Lewis calls him out on it and also tells the football coach and athletic director that he thinks their both jerks (maybe not in so many words). The coach clears up that he is not OK with this and then brings Lewis on to be his "eyes and ears" and hires him to work for him to help better the team.
When it comes down to football time, the Hellcats are doing a horrible job. Alice showed the team her pictures of her boyfriends play book, who also happens to be the coach of the other team. The team, though, turned it down wanting to do it the wrong way. Marti shows up at the last minute and tells Savannah that she is a great friend for not ratting her out to the team and that she chose her over law school. They go to defeat the volleyball stars.
Then just as we think its going to end, Lewis and Marti kiss in the dorms after having a heart to heart about family troubles that Lewis is going through and how Marti lets him know he isn't alone. And as they are filming the volleyball girls in their underwear cheering about how the cheerleaders beat them, they find out that out of 15 spots for the bid videos, they placed 16. So how are they going to pay for sectionals... let alone nationals? That is what we must wait for next week for! See ya then!
