After a 3-month court ordered substance-abuse rehab (while on probation) at the Betty Ford Center, Lohan had been released last Monday. Upon her release, the “Mean Girls” star still faces an uncertain future as she still is under investigation for an alleged attack on a Betty Ford Center rehab worker, Dawn Holland. CNN reported that a Riverside County Sheriff's Department spokesperson stated that the altercation between Lohan and Holland was a violation of Lohan’s probation. CNN also reported that despite Holland’s refusal to further assist the investigation and expressing the desire not to file charges against Lohan, authorities are to send the results of their investigation on the Lohan/Holland case to the district attorney’s office. If charged with battery, misdemeanor and other violation charges, Lohan could possibly go back to jail for 6 months.
Despite Lohan’s police and rehab records, counselors, addiction psychiatrist and lawyers alike are staying positive about Lohan’s future not only as an artist but also a person.
'The future depends on what we do in the present,' Lohan’s New Year’s message on her Twitter account stated, quoting Mahatma Gandhi, seemingly addressing her mind-set about her future after being released from the rehab.
