James Holmes charged with 24 counts of Murder.

James Holmes, the 24-year-old accused of the heinous theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado  was charged with two counts of first-degree murder for each victim who died and one for allegedly intending to cause harm and the other for allegedly acting with extreme indifference to human life, court documents say.

He was also charged with 116 counts of attempted murder, in addition to one count of possession of explosives and another of committing a crime of violence.

The charges carry a minimum sentence of life in prison and a maximum of the death penalty.

"X-Men: First Class" Sequel Now Has a Title

The new X-Men film has been given a title!

The sequel to "X-Men: First Class" will be titled "X-Men: Days of Future Past." According to previous reports, this new X-Men film will showcase more of Magneto's (Michael Fassbender) past.

Simon Kinberg who wrote "X-Men: The Last Stand" and co-produced "X-Men: First Class" is writing the sequel with director Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman ("Kick-Ass" and "The Woman in Black.")

"X-Men: Days of the Future Past" starts production sometime in January of 2012 with release date of July 18th, 2014.

Tom Hiddleston in "Family Guy"

English actor and star of "Thor" and "The Avengers" films, Tom Hiddleston has recently recorded a voice for the American animated sitcom "Family Guy."

Hiddleston who is known for his portrayal of Loki, adopted brother of Thor, in the "Thor" film, will be appearing in the animation with English actor Sean Bean ("The Lord of the Rings.")

Hiddleston also recorded voices for Adult Swim's "Robot Chicken" and for the "Thor: God of Thunder" video game.

More Magneto in the "X-Men: First Class" sequel

According to latest report, the "X-Men: First Class" sequel will feature more of Magneto's (portrayed by Irish-German actor Michael Fassender) back story.

In an interview done by MTV with the film's writer/producer Simon Kinberg he said that "Magneto becomes the villain ultimately of the franchise but he's a much more complicated character as a young man. He's someone you sympathize with, you care about, you root for even though you might not necessarily agree with his methods, you understand his philosophy."

In the new "X-Men" movie Magneto will have "a villainous side and he'll have a sympathetic human side. You'll be able to relate, but you'll also be afraid of him."

Kinberg hopes to start shooting the untitled "X-Men: First Class" sequel next spring with a release date of July, 2014.

Franka Potente to join "American Horror Story" Season 2

German film actress Franka Potente star of the German thriller "Lola Rennt" ("Run Lola Run") and two "Bourne" films has been cast in the new season of FX's "American Horror Story."

Potente is said to be playing a "mysterious patient of the facility" in two of the second season's episode.

The Emmy-nominated FX series will take place in an East Coast 1960s insane asylum. First season cast Jessica Lange who will play a nun in charge of the facility will return in this new season along with Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Lily Rabe who will all portray new characters.

The new season of "American Horror Story" will premiere in October.

The film is based on the video game Silent Hill 3 and a sequel to the 2006 horror film titled "Silent Hill."

Zimmerman composes "Aurora"

Multi-award winning German film composer and music producer Hans Zimmerman who composed music for films like "Black Hawk Down," "Gladiator," and recently, "The Dark Knight Rises" recorded a track entitled "Aurora" dedicated to the victims of the Aurora shooting.

Posted on Zimmerman's FaceBook page are the following:

Sundance winning film "Middle of Nowhere" has a new trailer

Ava DuVernay, 2012 Sundace Film Festival's Best Director, the first African-American to win the honor for her film "Middle of Nowhere" has a new trailer for her drama:

GourmetFilm: "THE FILM IS HAPPENING!!!"

Danish actors and film makers Nina Helveg ("Alla Salute!") Aske Bang ("The Friendly,") and Allan Hyde ("True Blood,") recently launched their first KickStarter campaign for the project "Fly On The Wings Of Love" under their indie production company, GourmetFilm.

"Fly On The Wings of Love" "is a musical short film satire about love, inspiration and music. It's a story about how these intertwine and how one leads to another.

The Olsen Brothers are trying to make it big in U.S. after enjoying some substantial success in their native Denmark. They are touring California in the summer of '69 when they meet the two free spirited hippie girls Maria and Angelina who put their brotherly friendship to the test when bringing pot, acid and jealousy into the equation." The teams' KickStarter campaign which was launched on the 23rd of July (and will end on Monday, July 30th) aims to assist the production of this project that the group plan to shoot within the few weeks. Donations towards this project will go toward paying for rental of equipment, wardrobe, permits, and catering among other things. Everyone working on the project are devoting their time for free, lowering the cost of the production.

Although the target amount for the production of the film have been met, GourmetFilm still welcome donations from new backers that will allow them to rent better equipment to make a better film.

"Outlander" novel to be adapted into TV series

American screenwriter and television producer Ron Moore who is best known for his work on "Star Trek" and "Battlestar Galactica" is to adapt the "Outlander" novels to television.

The novel series which follows "British Army nurse Claire Randall as she is transported back in time from 1945 to 18th-century Scotland, embarking on an epic romance with Scots warrior Jamie" sold over 20 million copies.

With Sony Pictures TV buying the rights to the novel, Moore will be pitching in the adaptation to cable networks this week.

Disney reveals "Wreck-It-Ralph" voice artists

Disney recently revealed the voices that will be featured in their new animation film "Wreck-It-Ralph."

With director Rich Moore of "The Simpsons" and "Futurama" and "Bolt" producer Clark Spencer, "Wreck-It-Ralph" will be joined in by John C. Reilly as Wreck-It Ralph, Jack McBrayer as Fix-It Felix Jr., Jane Lynch as Sergeant Calhoun and Sarah Silverman as Vanellope von Schweetz.

"Wreck-It-Raplh" is scheduled to be released on November 2nd, 2012.

Uma Thurman welcomes new baby girl!

Congratulations to actress Uma Thurman who had her new baby girl on July 15th according to People.

This is Thurman's first child with Arpad Busson who she had been dating since 2007. The couple separated in 2009 but got back together in 2011.

Thurman, 42, has two other children with actor Ethan Hawke, Maya 14 and Levon 10. Thurman and Hawke separated in 2003.

Thurman's rep confirmed to People that "Mom and baby are doing well."

Marsden to replace McConaughey in "The Butler"

"Straw Dog" star James Marsden is said to be replacing actor Matthew McConaughey in the film "The Butler" to portray the late JFK.

Marsden will be joining the cast that includes Alex Pettyfer, Oprah Winfrey, Minka Kelly, Cuba Gooding Jr.,Terrence Howard, Lenny Kravitz, David Oyelowo, and Alan Rickman.

Based on Wil Haygood's Washington Post "A Butler Well Served by This Election," "The Butler" is about "a White House butler served eight American Presidents over the course of three decades." It is set to be released in 2013 and filming will start in New Orleans in mid-July.

Adam Lambert to guest star in "Pretty Little Liars"

Artist Adam Lambert will be guest starring in the ABC Family show "Pretty Little Liars" as himself.

Lambert will be performing at least two tunes at the Rosewood concert. But the artist won't just be acting as a singer in the Halloween episode of the show. He is said to "also have a run in with one of the four friends at a pumpkin-themed party."

"Yup--- imma be a Pretty Little Liar!" Lambert tweeted confirming the news.

The ABC Family show airs every Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.

Spielberg wants Hemsworth for "Robocalypse"

Deadline reports that director Steven Spielberg wants "Thor" star, Australian actor, Chris Hemsworth to star in his new film, "Robocalypse," an adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson's sci-fi novel.

There is no official word yet on Hemsworth starring in the said film although its release date has been set to April 15th, 2014.

Svetlana Khodchenkova to play "Viper" in new Wolverine film

Recent development on the upcoming Wolverine film - actress Jessica Biel who was reported to be joining the film is no longer playing the part of "Viper".

According to new information, Russian actress and star of the film "Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy" Svetlana Khodchenkova will be playing the character which was described as "a complex who at one point was a peer of Logan's as well as an enemy. She was a major player in criminal organization Hydra and, in one story arc, blackmailed Logan/Wolverine into marrying her."

 Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as Wolverine. Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Rila ushima, and Tao Okamoto were said to be cast in the film as well.

Directed by James Mangold, the new Wolverine film will be set in Japan and will begin production in the following weeks. It will be directed by James Mangold.

"The Day" trailer and new poster

Coming out on August 29th is a post-apocalyptic film from Douglas Aarniokoski (who was part of films like "From Dusk Till Dawn" and "The Faculty") title "The Day."

During the 2012 San Diego Comic Con, official trailer for the film and poster were shown to the fans:

 

The film stars  Shannyn Sossamon, Dominic Monaghan, 

Shawn Ashmore, Ashley Bell, Cory Hardrict, and Michael Eklund.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and husband Freddie Prinze, Jr. expecting a boy!

Sarah Michelle Gellar and husband Freddie Prinze, Jr. are pregnant with second child and they recently found out that they are having a baby boy!

Prinze and Gellar met during the filming of "I Know What You Did Last Summer" back in 1997 and started dating three years later. The couple married on the 1st of September, 2002 in Mexico and was blessed with a daughter they named Charlotte Grace seven years later.

The couple are reportedly very happy about the news. According to Radaronline, an insider had shared that Gellar was "secretly hoping for a boy." Prinze on the other hand is "incredibly pumped it's a boy" and "he can't wait to coach him in sports when he's older."

Furtado's album "Spirit Indestructible" which will be released in September 2012 "contains elements from urban, alternative, and reggae."

The Misfits is coming to American TV!

If you have Hulu, you probably already have seen this fantastic British TV Show.  If you are like me all your friends who have Hulu are telling you how much you are missing by not watching The Misfits.  I just have to say that missing something this potentially epic makes me grumpy.

Grumpy no more! Tonight at 10 PM on Logo it airs!  It is about a group of British young people who are on probation and while on work duty get hit by lightning and develop superpowers.  What would you do with extraordinary  powers?

Sage Stallone, 36, found dead

Sylvester Stallone's son, Sage who was 36, was found dead Friday in his Studio City apartment. Sage made is acting debut with his father in 1990 and appeared with him again in 1996's Daylight. 

While he came from a showbiz family and was born and raised in Los Angles, he only worked in low profile films, by choice, since working with his father. In 1996, he and film editor Bob Murawski co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a Los Angeles based company dedicated to the restoration and preservation of exploitation and b movie films. Sage directed his first short film Vic which screened successfully at the 2006 Palm Springs, California Film Festival.

Though the autopsy has been completed, cause of death has not been released.  Our thoughts and prayers, go out to the Stallone family.

Allan Hyde in a new film "You and Me Forever" and appearance as Godric in True Blood S5

Danish Director, Kaspar Munk's film, "You and Me Forever" will be released in Danish theaters on September 13, 2012 and features Allan Hyde in a starring role. We have the first pics of Allan as "Tobias".

"You and Me Forever" is a coming of age tale about two 16-year-old girlfriends, Laura and Christine. They have always been best friends. But one day they meet a mysterious and fascinating girl, Maria. Laura is quickly fascinated by Maria and her wild world. Laura's limits are exceeded and slowly pulls her into Maria's world of partying, sex and lies.

The film features Allan Hyde, Cyron Melville, Julie Andersen, Emilie Kruse, Benjamin Wandschnieder, Victoria Sonne, and Frederikke Dahl Hansen.

 Allan Hyde will also be reprising his role as the 2,000 year old Godric, former Maker of Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård) in HBO's True Blood.

Arcade Fire to release new album next year

Great news to all Arcade Fire fans.

The Grammy award winning Canadian band stated that they are putting together a new album as a follow up to their 2012 album "The Suburbs" to be released in 2013. Although, the release date for the new album hasn't been confirmed yet.

Earlier this year, the band released a new track titled "Abraham's Daughter" which was used in the Hollywood film "Hunger Games."

Arcade Fire released their first album "Funeral" back in 2004. The band won numerous for their album "The Suburbs" including the 2011 Polaris Music Prize, the Canadian equivalent of the UK's Mercury Music Prize.

Everything's all about Comic-Con today! Why not? The convention delivered us fans (especially the ones who unfortunately couldn't be there) updates about up-coming films and on-going series like HBO's "True Blood."

"Man of Steel" Comic Con teaser poster

The first footage from the much awaited "Man of Steel" film starring British actor Henry Cavill ("Immortals") was screened. Following the clip, Warner Bros. released a new teaser poster featuring the shadowed face of the Man of Steel himself in his red and blue attire.

The clip show at the con was said to have featured a darker side of Superman who "won't hold back from beating the crap out of the bad guys."

According to MTV News, the clips included "shots of Smallville and the Kent farmhouse; a teenaged Clark Kent saving a bus full of kids; a bearded Clark walking down a snowy road; a face-to-face conversation between Superman and Jor-El (Russell Crowe); Superman flying, facing off against the military, saving a guy who fell from a building and being led away in handcuffs; Papa Kent (Kevin Costner) telling him the world fears what it doesn't understand; Clark with his entire body on fire; plus, Superman emerging from a bunch of skulls!"

Snyder confirmed that "Man of Steel" is now in postproduction. With Christopher Nolan as one of the producers, "Man of Steel" is set to be released on June 13th, 2013. It also stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Ayelet Zurer as Lara Lor-Van, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Antje Traue as Faora, Harry Lennix as General Swanwick, and Christopher Meloni as Col. Hardy.

"The Walking Dead" season 3 trailer was premiered at the San Diego Comic Con and it is looking really good!



The new season will start on October 14th on AMC channel.

Jessica Biel as "Viper" in new "Wolverine" movie

"Total Recall" star Jessical Biel is said to have been offered the role of "Victoria/Viper" in the up-coming "Wolverine" movie.

"Viper" was described as "a complex character who at one point was a peer of Logan's as well as an enemy. She was a major player in criminal organization Hydra and, in one story arc, blackmailed Logan/Wolverine into marrying her."

Together with Biel, Hugh Jackman will also be starring in the film reprising his role as Wolverine. Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Rila ushima, and Tao Okamoto were said to be cast in the film as well.

The film which will be set in Japan will begin production in the following weeks. It will be directed by James Mangold.
