More Magneto in the "X-Men: First Class" sequel

According to latest report, the "X-Men: First Class" sequel will feature more of Magneto's (portrayed by Irish-German actor Michael Fassender) back story.

In an interview done by MTV with the film's writer/producer Simon Kinberg he said that "Magneto becomes the villain ultimately of the franchise but he's a much more complicated character as a young man. He's someone you sympathize with, you care about, you root for even though you might not necessarily agree with his methods, you understand his philosophy."

In the new "X-Men" movie Magneto will have "a villainous side and he'll have a sympathetic human side. You'll be able to relate, but you'll also be afraid of him."

Kinberg hopes to start shooting the untitled "X-Men: First Class" sequel next spring with a release date of July, 2014.

X-Men: First Class, Official Trailer

X-Men: First Class “charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men." - X-Men: First Class
