American screenwriter and television producer Ron Moore who is best known for his work on "Star Trek" and "Battlestar Galactica" is to adapt the "Outlander" novels to television.
The novel series which follows "British Army nurse Claire Randall as she is transported back in time from 1945 to 18th-century Scotland, embarking on an epic romance with Scots warrior Jamie" sold over 20 million copies.
With Sony Pictures TV buying the rights to the novel, Moore will be pitching in the adaptation to cable networks this week.
