Showtime's "Weeds" has been renewed and is up for its eighth season.The renewal wasn't surprising as the series has been successful throughout its run. It has been Showtime's highest rated comedy series which earned three Emmy nominations and a 2009 nod for Outstanding Comedy Series.
"Weeds" will start production for its eighth season in 2012. It will have its 13 episodes. The series stars Mary-Louise Parker, Hunter Parrish, Alexander Gould, Justin Kirk, and Kevin Nealon.
