Gillian Anderson stars in BBC's adaptation of "Great Expectations"

American actress Gillian Anderson plays Miss Havisham in
BBC TV adaptation of Charles Dickens' "Great Expectations."


The new Dickens adaptation is part of BBC's 200th birthday celebrations for the great author.

Ray Winstone (Magwitch,) David Suchet (Mr. Jaggers,) Oscar Kenney and Douglas both
(young and old Pip,) and Izzy Meikle-Small and Vanessa Kirby (Estella) star alongside Anderson.

A new film version of the novel is due to come out next year. It stars Helena
Bonham-Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Robbie Coltrane, and Holliday Grainger.
