It turned out that over 200 fans had shown up for this, even though everyone was not going to be part of the video. The day mostly consisted of standing and waiting. We were told we could leave, but that was taking the chance of not being picked for something. After the trip, I was not taking that chance. They did different scenes and the way it looked, they did each scene twice and they were both different. For example the up close and personal scene, which I was able to be part of, was done with us standing near the stage on our knee's. we basically had to act like we were at a concert and on stage was Nick and Briggy. For the first taping we had to have our hands up just like you would at a concert. People had their cell phones up as well and a few girls even got a bit confident with their grabs at Nick. The second taping was all the same expect we had pretend drinks in our hands and towards the end Nick and Briggy had champagne bottles and just poured it into the glasses. As for me though, I got it poured directly on me... not that I am complaining.
Afterwards we were escorted back outside and had to do more waiting until it was time to do another scene. We were all let inside for the club scene where Nick was DJing. Everyone was given blue glow sticks and we basically had to jump up and down. Think mosh pit. After the scene was taped twice some of us were asked to leave so they could do the next scene which ended up being the paint scene, which I did not take part in.
As I can tell from video's and others' reviews, the paint scene was wild and you basically were covered in paint in places it shouldn't of been, so just maybe I'm glad I wasn't part of it after all?
An interesting part of this whole event was that Lauren Kitt (Nick Carter's girlfriend) was part of the process. She picked the girls, made sure they had the right make up on, hair done right, told people where to stand, etc. I thought it was pretty cool that Lauren was taking part of this and helping out. She definitely helped the process flow much smoother. Props to Lauren.
All in all, it was a great look at the making of a music video. The crew was nice, the experience was fulfilling, and the video... well it speaks for itself. Check it out below.
