The "Sixth Sense" director together with TV producer Marti Noxon ("Buffy The Vampire Slayer") reportedly had finalized a deal with Syfy in creating a pilot for the project titled "Proof."
According to a press release, "Proof" looks at what happened to a son of a billionaire tech genius who offers a large reward for anyone who can find proof of life after death after the tragic accident and sudden death of his parents.
Shyamalan and Noxon will co-write the pilot but no air date or casting has been announced yet.
"Proof" will be Shymalan's first television project. His last film was "The Last Airbender" in 2010. He will be directing a film titled "After Earth" starring Will and Jaden Smith.
