The red carpet photos have been snapped, the crowd has gone wild and the winners have been awarded their trophies. The 2012 MTV European Music Awards, hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, is over for another year.
In a show filled with performances from the likes of Taylor Swift, Rita Ora, Carly Rae Jepsen and Psy, a total of 16 awards were handed out. These included Best Video, which went to none other than the biggest K-pop sensation in the world at the moment, Psy, for his "Gangnam Style" video.
Country superstar Taylor Swift had a successful night, taking home three awards for Best Female, Best Live and Best Look while Justin Bieber matched her and also took home three awards. The teen heartthrob won Best Male, Best World Stage and Best Pop.
