Fans and former bandmates honor Morrison on his 40th death anniversary

Fans and former Doors bandmates pay tribute to the late Jim Morrison's 40th death anniversay in Paris on Sunday.

Fans showed up at Morrison's gravesite at Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris, wearing shirts that featured the late artist's image. Some fans wore shirts with Morrison's face and the words "40th anniversary" on them. Some fans left flowers at his grave over the weekend.

Associated Press reported that Ray Manzarek (keyboardist) and Robby Krieger (guitarist) lit candles at Morrison's grave.

Morrison who was also known for his nickname as "lizard king" died on the 2nd of July, 1971 due to heart failure in his tub in Paris.

The Doors had hits throughout their career including Light My Fire, People Are Strange, and Break on Through (To the Other Side). A film titled The Doors about Morrison was made in 1991; Morrison was portrayed by American Actor Val Kilmer.

Reynolds and Johansson finally divorced

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson's divorce has been finalized. The couple who have been married for 2 years are officially back in the market. It was reported that Green Lantern star, Canadian actor, Ryan Reynolds filed for divorce six months ago.

26 year-old Johansson started dating 34 year-old Reynolds back in 2007. They announced their engagement in May of 2008 and got married in September that same year in Vancouver, B.C.

Reynolds admitted that things had "changed" since he and Johansson got married and that he is "a little more guarded," he told GQ. "I'm a little bit more wary of having my relationship turning into a soap opera," he said but added that marriage was the "best part" of his life.

Tarsem Singh's "SNOW WHITE" project




Back in June, Relativity Media released some images for the upcoming Snow White film by The Fall and The Cell director, Tarsem Singh.



There's very little known about this adaptation of Snow White as it doesn't have a title yet. The tag line in the poster suggests that it could be a comedic version of Snow White. Basing on Singh's previous pojects like the visually stunning The Fall, fans could expect another masterpiece from the Indian director.

Singh's Snow White project is due out March 16th, 2012. It stars Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Armie Hammer and Nathan Lane.

Stiller and Vaughn to team up for new film

American actors Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller are once again teaming up in an upcoming sci-fi comedy about a suburban neighborhood watch group.

A recent draft of the script was penned by Seth Rogen (The Green Hornet) and Even Goldberg. The film will be directed by Akiva Schaffer, writer for Saturday Night Live.

Vaughn and Stiller have had success in the box office together as they starred in films like Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004). They also appeared together in Starsky & Hutch (2204), Anchorman (2003) and Zoolander (2001).

Dark Of The Moon: LaBeouf's last "Transformers" film

American actor Shia LaBeouf said that the latest Transformers fill will be his last. The actor spoke at the Moscow International Film Festival during the opening of Transformers: Dark Of The Moon where he said he did not know if "there's anywhere to take Sam."

LaBeouf played the boy-next door Sam Witwicky. Transformers: Dark Of The Moon is the third film in the Transformers franchise. It was directed by Michael Bay and also stars Patrick Dempsey, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich and Rosie Huntington-Whitely.

Transformers 3 as reported, did not surpass its predecessor, Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen which earned $62 million on its opening day. The third film took in $42.3 million on its opening day.

People's Princess

In honor of the People's Princess' 50th birthday, admirers of the late Princess Diana gathered outside Kensington Palace on Friday. People left cakes, candles, cards and other sort of tributes to the late Princess outside the palace's gates.




Princess Diana died on August 31st, 1997 due to fatal injuries caused by a car accident in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris. The Princess was then 36 years old.
