Confirmed: Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is Pregnant
There have been many, many stories and reports about whether Kate Middleton is pregnant and she has been on almost constant bump watch since her wedding to Prince William in April 2011, but it has now been confirmed that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting the couple's first baby.
An official statement released by St James' Palace said "Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby. The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news."
While this is obviously very good news, it's believed that the Duchess is less than 12 weeks pregnant and that the announcement was made earlier than planned, as Kate was admitted to King Edward VII hospital. The Duchess was admitted with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, a condition that sees expectant mothers suffer from severe morning sickness and nausea.
In regards to her hospitalization, St James' Palace advised that "As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter."
In October last year, leaders of Commonwealth countries also agreed that the succession law. Previously, a male heir had more claim to the throne than a female heir, regardless of whether he was older or not. But with the new succession law, female heirs will have the same rights as any male heir, meaning that Kate and William's first born child will be third in line to the throne behind Prince Charles and Prince William, despite it's gender.
Our biggest congratulations go out to the happy couple and their families!

Royal Couple's Guests List

And the invitations are out.
Delivered by the Royal Mail last Wednesday and Thursday, Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding invitation have revealed the guests list for their Royal wedding. It was reported that the Royal couple have invited close to 1,900 guests (more than half of whom are friends of the couple) and the list includes the King of Jordan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the Sultan of Oman, the King of Bahrain, the Sultan of Brunei and the King of Saudi Arabia as well as the Emperor of Japan, the King of Malaysia, the King of Tonga and the King of Thailand.
There was a a talk of the famous couple David and Victoria Beckham being invited to the Royal wedding although sources that are close to them have denied that the couple received any invitation from the Prince and his wife-to-be.
Prince William and the Beckhams paired and lobbied hard, but unsuccessfully, for England’s 2018 World Cup bid. It was reported that "they got on famously."
If the Beckhams are invited, David, as the other gentlemen invited to the wedding, is required to wear uniform, morning coat or lounge suit while Victoria can flawlessly arrive in any majestic and fashionable dress she desires to wear as female guests do not have a dress code. Ladies attending, although, will be required to wear a hat for the wedding service.
The Royal wedding will be held at Westminster Abbey on April 29th, 2011, Friday at 11:00 a.m.

Royal couple: Donations instead of wedding gifts
On the 29th of April, Prince William and fiancee Kate Middleton are scheduled to tie the knot. Associated Press recently reported that the Royal aides stated that the Royal couple is "determined to make sure their wedding is not overly ostentatious." So, instead of wedding gifts, the Royal couple may ask their guests to give donation to charity instead. This option is being considered according to the Royal family's spokesman but that no firm decision have been made yet. Wedding guests could still give the Royal couple traditional gifts if they choose to. As of now, the guest list for the Royal couple's wedding hasn't been released.SOURCE: AP; Image from Dailymail.co.uk.

A Royal Engagement
In their first interview as an engaged couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton could not have looked any happier. The royal family announced that the couple would be preparing for a wedding in either the spring or summer of next year. The Prince and his Bride to be have been a couple on and off for the past eight years. The engagement took place last month in Kenya while the couple was on holiday; and Prince William presented Middleton with his mother's engagement ring. It is an oval sapphire surrounded in diamonds that was produced by the jeweler Gerrard for Prince Charles when he proposed to Princess Diana. When asked about why he chose her ring, Prince William stated, "I thought it was quite nice because obviously she's not going to be around to share any of the fun and excitement of it all. This was my way of keeping her close to it all."
If all goes according to plan, Kate will eventually take the title of Queen Catherine when her soon to be husband takes the throne; as he is second in line. Both families are thrilled with the engagement, and both are gushing like the proud parents they are. Kate's father Michael was quoted as saying "We all think he's wonderful. We're extremely fond of him," in regards to how the family feels about William; and the Royal Family has said that they are "absolutely delighted for them both."
The engagement has been a long time coming, and we wish them all of the best in the future.
