Usher and Celine Dion to Perform in a Whitney Tribute

Celine Dion, Usher and Jennifer Hudson were the first performers to be announced by The Recording Academy on Thursday for “We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute To Whitney Houston” on CBS on Nov. 16.However, there are many celebrities that want to help the Houston family deal with the singer's untimely death.

The concert will be taped in Los Angeles on Oct. 11 and will also feature interviews and footage with the late singer, as well as artists sharing their memories of her.

Houston’s death at age 48 from accidental drowning in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel on the eve of the Grammy awards in February shocked the music world. Authorities deemed her death was also a result of heart disease and cocaine use.

The televised special will be timed with the release of  release of a compilation album in November, “I Will Always Love You - The Best of Whitney Houston,” featuring 16 of Houston’s best-known hits and two previously unreleased songs, including a new duet of “I Look To You” with R. Kelly.

Lifetime television network will also be airing a new series starting in mid-October , “The Houstons: On Our Own.” It documents Houston’s 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, sister-in-law and former manager Pat Houston and mother Cissy, as they deal with life after the singer’s death.

Tamela Mann was a recent guest on Artists on demand and talked about how professional and kind Whitney was and what a joy to work with on the set of Sparkle You can listen to our interview here.

Bieber, Usher, Eminem, Swift, and Rihanna Sweep the Billboard Music Awards

Everyone who was everyone watched the 2011 Billboard Music Awards last night. It was packed with show stopping performances by Rihanna, Britney Spears, Taio Cruz, and many many more! Eminem, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and Usher pretty much took over this awards show. Eminem's album Recovery flew off the shelves once it was released and seems to still be going strong. Rihanna was very emotional and quite excited, even jumping up and down on stage, as she accepted award after award. Another face that is very familiar amongst the crowd was Justin Bieber, who at the age of 17, walked away with 6 Billboard Music Awards, including Fan Favorite, which was chosen solely by the fans in an online poll done by Billboard.com from May 9 to the 20th. An outstanding 1.6 million fans voted and, apparently, everyone is a Bieleber, causing a very emotional Justin Bieber to take the stage and thank God, his mom, and of course, the fans! It appears there is no end to the Bieber Fever epidemic that has swept the nation. Bieber's mentor, Usher, took home quite a few awards for his Album Raymond v. Raymond.
