Unleashed! Bash on the Bayou

This event just started happening last year and it was an event to help raise money for the St. Tammany's Humane Society pet shelter. I ended up going last year and had a blast and, of course, Ian Somerhalder was there so therefore I said I was going again this year. Sadly after many months of waiting for this fun event we were told that Ian Somerhalder was unable to come due to injury.

People from all over did travel for this event and with tons of help, over $100,000 dollars was raised and 26 dogs were brought to the event to be adopted. Sargent, Charlotte, Marnie, Speedy, and Toon did get adopted.  There was tons of food to choose from, such as food from Olive Garden, Chili's, Popeye's, Jerks Island Grill, T-bones Grill, and more! They had silent auctions for different things and they even offered merchandise like Bite Me Damon panties, which did sell out. They also had some great bands play and for people to dance. Many people did dance, including Ian's father Robert who had came to the event to take over Ian's place . Fans were able to enjoy Ian's presence in the form of a cardboard cut out, which we all took pictures with.

This even raises money and awareness for a great cause and I look forward to going to another one next year.
