McCartney gets a Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Former Beatle member Paul McCartney is receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on February 9th, Thursday at 2:00 p.m.

McCartney's star will be lined up alongside his former bandmates, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr in front of Capitol Records building on 1750 N. Vine Street.

The star will be presented to McCarter by President and CEO at Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

McCartney's newest album titled "Kisses On The Bottom" is due to be released on February 7th.

"American Horror Story" Kate Mara to star in new David Fincher project

"American Horror Story" star Kate Mara is set to star alongside Kevin Spacey in a David Fincher's "House of Cards," Nextflix's first series.

The project which is an adaptation of the British series of the same title, is based on Michael Dobbs' book. It is "political thriller centered around the scheming Francis Urquhart, Chief Whip of the Conservative party, who plots to unseat the current Prime Minister and ensure his own election as party leader thus making himself Prime Minister. A young female reporter gets close to the story and to Urquhart himself, risking her integrity and soul."

In Fincher's American adaptation, Spacey will be playing Frank Underwood, the series' male protagonist with Robin Wright as Underwood's wife.

Mara will be taking on Zoe Barnes, "the young reporte who becomes caught in Underwood's web."

Mara who is the 28-year old sister of "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" star Rooney Mara, portrayed a scorned woman in "American Horror Story."

Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, and Alan Arkin to star in action-comedy


Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, and Alan Arkin will be starring
in a film by Fisher Stevens ("The Cove.")

The Hollywood veterans will be working on an action-comedy project which was formerly known as "Old Timers." The film "centers on two aging criminals, one of whom has been hired to kill his friend. They decide to enjoy one last night of debauchery in which they hit up a brothel, steal some cars and evade police but also face the choices they made in their lives."

The film was penned by Noah Haidle. It will be produced by
Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Lakeshore
and will be domestically distributed by Lionsgate.

The film is scheduled to start shooting in Los Angeles in April.

Line-up for "MusiCares Person of the Year" concert

British band Coldplay and artist Katy Perry will be performing at MusiCares tribute concert honoring Paul McCartney.

MusiCares Person of the Year concert an annual tradition which started back in 1991 will be held in Los Angeles this year. Tickets ranges from $1,500 to $100, 000. The concert is for a good cause that offers safety net for musicians who need assisstance in times of difficulties (financial, personal, or medical crisis.)

In additional to Coldplay and Perry, Alicia Keys will also be performing. Foo Fighters, Alison Krausss, Norah Jones, James Taylor and Tony Bennett (both past honorees.) McCartney will also be performing during the event and will be promoting his newest album, "Kisses on the Bottom," the collection of pop standards.

Tom Felton in "Labyrinth"

"Harry Potter" star Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) is
starring in an up-coming mini-series titled "Labyrinth."

The film is set to broadcast later this year
although there are no confirmation from any U.S. network.

Felton is currently residing in Los Angeles. He will be attending the
Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention being held on March 4th, 2012.

First official "Red Lights" trailer

The first official trailer for the film "Red Lights" by Rodrigo Cortés has been released.
The film stars starring Cillian Murphy, Robert DeNiro, Sigourney Weaver,
Joely Richardson, and Elizabeth Olsen.

The film was shown in the U.S. through Sundance on January 20th.
