The beginning of a new year can only mean one thing: IT'S AWARD SEASON! The first to air among several award shows is the People's Choice Awards. The great thing about this award show is that, you guessed it, it's all about the PEOPLE. There are 43 categories from Favorite Movie to Favorite Tour Headliner. It's all about movies, TV, music and the fans. Among the nominees, we have (a personal favorite) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Bridesmaids, The Help, Water for Elephants and many more of your favorite 2011 films. For music, there's Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and many more.
There are so many celebrities attending the show, it's almost hard to keep track. But in case you need some names, they'll have Ashley Greene (Twilight), Lea Michele (Glee, New Year's Eve), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical), Emma Stone (Easy A), Jennifer Lawrence (X-Men, The Hunger Games), Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries), Liam Hemsworth (The Last Song, The Hunger Games), Katy Perry, Ellen Degeneres, Adam Levine (Maroon 5), Liam Neeson (Taken, The Grey), Jason Segel (The Muppets, How I Met Your Mother, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and so many more, it'll make your head hurt.
Hosted by the witty and hilarious Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) and with performances from Demi Lovato and Faith Hill there's bound to be something for everyone. If this didn't convince you to tune in or if you just need more information on The People's Choice Awards, go ahead and check out their website. While you're there, don't forget to VOTE VOTE VOTE for your favorite picks of 2012!
Who do YOU want to see take over the People's Choice? The People's Choice Awards will air January 11th, 2012 at 9pm EST on CBS.
Best of luck to everyone nominated and performing from all of us here at Artists On Demand!

Celebrities Go Offline For Charity

In an effort to raise awareness for World aids Day and the Keep A Child Alive program, a number of different celebrities will be going offline until $1 million is raised for the organization, which is run by Alicia Keys.
The celebrities taking part in the event include Keys, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Seacrest, Elijah Wood, Serena Williams, Janelle Monae, and Keys' husband Swizz Beats. Each of the stars filmed a "last will and testament" to play during the week to signify their "digital deaths."
The idea behind it is to make the world more aware of what is going on outside of their comfort zones. I'm curious to see how long it takes to raise the money.
