Walking Dead Season 3 - Hints for what's to come

Michonne, The Governor, and Ricktatorship

(Possible Spoilers Ahead Proceed with Caution)

Show-runner, Glen Mazzara, warns that this season will be very "adrenalized" and that fans will hardly be able to catch their breath.

Mazzara  says, "the new horror becomes what people will do to survive and to protect each other in this world. And what they're willing to sacrifice to achieve their ambition." The series is "very much a human drama," and that's where the new characters coming to the show, "particularly The Governor," come into play.

Speaking of The Governor, Mazzara previewed that with his "humanity so prevalent when he commits atrocious acts...they'll be that much more horrifying." The Governor is a character fans have waited to see on the show for some time now, and with everything that's been released, it looks like they won't be disappointed. Making him a character with "a real soul" and "a depth and intelligence" should make him even better as a villain, and so far, David Morrissey seems like he's going to do quite well with the part.

This year the reality that there is truly no escape will be balanced with Rick leading our returning characters to the relative safety of the prison.  While they may be safer from the zombies, humans can be equality as monstrous.  Will the pressure bring Rick to his breaking point?

Two other, long awaited characters will be appearing this season - Merle and Michonne.

Are you excited?  I am!  At a minimum no one will be screaming at Carl to "Get in the House!"  It sounds like Daryl will be a big part of this season and the Rick/Lori/Shane love triangle is (hopefully) broken.
