You are playing Agent York on the new show The Mob Doctor premiering on FOX September 17th. What do you think will make fans like this show?
"How far will you go to protect the ones you love?". I think that's something everyone wonders and its exactly the punch this show hits with and hooks you with. Its sexy, dangerous, and dark. Like the poster says "Be careful who you owe". Its a great hook line.
This show appears to be Grey’s Anatomy meets The Sopranos. Would you agree with that description?
Well two hugely successful series is a great comparison! I think the show is closer to Breaking Bad meets House. Having said that the show feels very fresh and it isn't really like anything on TV right now.
Tell us a bit about your character. Where does Agent York fall into this?
When we meet FBI Agent York he's working a case against the mob. He needs Grace to save his star witness. But as the series progresses we find out that York is going after people much closer to Grace than anyone realizes. There's some great twists coming.
There is a great cast lineup for this show. How was the environment on set and did everyone get along?
The cast of this show is phenomenal, coming from stage, screen and TV. And they all really clicked right away. Chicago (where we shoot) is a fun town, and the crew has been amazing.
Aside from The Mob Doctor, you have a hefty resume filled with TV shows, including The Secret Circle, and many movies. Do you have a preference of one over the other or is it all the same to you?
Well thank you, I've been very lucky. These days its all the same to me, TV the last few years has been amazing and its great to be part of it.
Are there any other projects you are working on or promoting right now that fans can keep an eye out for?
Yes, keep an eye out for me on CSI in an few weeks, a very dark twisted guy, then we go the other way to comedy as a congressman on Parks and Rec. Both were cases of being on shows I've followed so it was a lot of fun to be there.
Where can fans find you online?
Folks can find me on twitter @adamjharrington
We try to end all interviews on a fun note. So… if you could go on a road trip with any person, dead or alive, who would you choose and where would you go?
Well I do love a good road trip, and have done more than a few. I think my grandfather would be a good choice, I'd drive 5 or 6 hours north of Toronto Canada (the area I grew up), go fishing, and ask him all the questions I never thought to ask when I was a younger.
Thank you so much for your time and we look forward to seeing more from you!
Thank you for including me in your program!
