I wish we were talking about a remake of the Hitchcock classic the birds, but we're not. Angry Birds the game that drives players to madness (from the song alone) or distraction, is releasing a sequel this month. Bad Piggies, the launch of a new franchise.
The Finnish games developer, Rovio, has seen its hit title, Angry Birds, downloaded more than one billion times on a variety of platforms and has expanded the brand to include soft toys, animated television shows and even theme parks.
Bad Piggies will be released for iOS, Android and on the Mac on September 27. A version for Windows 8, Windows Phone and the PC is coming soon, Rovio says.
Several variations of the Angry Birds game have been released since the game made its debut in late 2009.
The most recent, Angry Birds Space, was released in March.
