Lady Gaga to again tour in 2012

Pop star Lady Gaga just finished her Monster Ball Tour which started in November of 2009 but she already has plans to set on another tour in 2012.

"I do have plans, it will be at the top of next year but I have to begin rehearsing by the end of this year. That's what I do. It's time for another marathon," Lady Gaga said.

Lady Gaga released her new album Born This Way last May and it since been on the top of charts in 20 different countries. The star insist that she isn't "peaking too soon in her career."


Lady Gaga stated that her ambition is to follow up Born This Way with a bigger and better record. "If you're running a marathon, and you're about to cross the finish line, you don't stop and say, 'Oh, once I cross it, it's over.' You run as fast as you can to get there as quickly as you can. So I guess, for me, it's about how many marathons can I run? How many dreams can I make true? Now, not for me, but for my fans," she told BANG Showbiz.

"Noah", new film from Darren Aronofsky

Noah, a film "re-telling the story of the Noah's ark story" will be co-financed by New Regency with Requiem for a Dream and Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky working on the project.

Variety reported that Aronofsky penned the first draft of the Noah script and American screenwriter and playwright John Logan is said to be currently re-writing the script.

Arnon Milchan founder of New Regency Productions attached the production company to the project after being approached with the script, sources said on Wednesday Variety reported.

Lebanon lifts ban on Gaga's "Born This Way" record

American pop star, Lady Gaga's recent album Born This Way was reported to have been allowed distribution in the country of Lebanon after fans of the singer protested against its ban.

The album which topped the charts worldwide was banned in the Middle Eastern country after its release in May. Lebanon officials seized the shipment of the CDS and ruled that the track Judas was "offensive to Christians."

The songs from the tracks were also banned from being played on the radio.

According the the British paper, The Sun, Lady Gaga's Lebanese fans protested the ban and saw it as pointless as they could stream the record online.

A statement that read: 'The CD has received approval for entry and distribution in Lebanon.'

This was also confirmed by Lady Gaga's spokesperson.

Swift's "Mine" wins CMT video of the year

Country singer Taylor Swift was awarded the top award at the County Music Television (CMT) awards as her music video Mine wins video of the year.

Swift accepted her awards via satellite on stage in Wisconsin where she is on tour at the moment.

"I wish I could be there, but I'm hanging out with 15,000 of my closest friends in Milwaukee," she young star said.

The show led by star Kid Rock was opened by Swift in a pre-recorded video of a parody of te film Thelma and Louise with fellow country singer, Shania Twain.

The Peoples Music Awards in London

Founded in September 2008 by managing director Dylan Satow, The Peoples Music Awards is taking place in London by the end of the month.

The purpose of the awards is to get unsigned artists to be heard by professionals and the music industry and the public alike. The winners of the awards in categories Indie/Rock, Hip-Hop, Dance, Male Solo Artist, Female Solo Artist, Experimental, Funk/Soul and Popare chosen by the people and guest judges who vote and judge on the awards' website.

There are 14 groups playing at the final that will be held at The Scala venue in the city's King's Cross on June 18. The awards will also be televised on TV station Eurochannel around the world.

Bands playing at the event include Stealing Sheep, Isaac's Aircraft, Mr B. The Gentleman Rhymer, The Yesmen, Frequently Asked Questions, Aurora J. Young, Ben Maggs, Kirstenana, Antonio Simone, The Beatrix Players, Travis Singleton, Un!son, Brass B****rdz and Disco Damage.
