A new indie drama Gimme Shelter will start High School Musical actress Vanessa Hudgens and Brendan Fraser.The film will be written and directed by Ron Krauss. It tells the story of a pregnant teenager who escapes her abusive mother and looks for biological father. The father, played by Fraser, first takes in the teenager, played by Hudgens but then throws her out because she refuses to abort the pregnancy. Fraser's character fathered Hudgens' character "as a result of a youthful fling."
Hudgens' last project was Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch while Fraser was in Fury Vengeance.
