AC/DC hopes to release new album

Australian band AC/DC is hoping to release a new album in the next couple of years.

Band's lead guitarist, Angus Young revealed this plan during the group's AC/DC Live At River Plate's DVD premiere at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on Friday night. He also expressed their hopes of touring again soon.

The band had their Black Ice Tour in 2009/2010 when they played for more than five million fans and visit 108 cities in 20 months.

AC/DC is consists of brothers Malcolm (rhythm guitar) and Angus Young, Brian Johnson (vocalist), Cliff Williams (bassist) and Phil Rudd (drummer.)

The band was a man short during the launching of their DVD as their drummer, Rudd was not able to attend the event. Rudd's New Zealand home was struck by natural disaster, according to the rest of the band.

AC/DC Live At River Plate DVD showcases the band's concert shot in Buenos Airer' River Plate Stadium in Argentine. The DVD will be released on Monday, May 9th.
