The CW's hit TV series Supernatural gets its own fan convention coming to Nashville June 4-5, 2011
Spooky otherworld TV series Supernatural, now celebrating its 6th season on The CW Network, has a fervent following that has blossomed into on-line clubs, merchandising, and for the first time in the area, a fan convention featuring the two lead actors, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. The Salute to Supernatural Convention comes to Nashville on Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, 2800 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN 37214.
The series follows the Winchester Brothers as they travel the USA in search of demons and other figures of the paranormal while cruising in their 1967 vintage Impala. The interplay between the two lead characters has captured a loyal fan base most likely aided by the heartthrob status of actors Ackles and Padalecki. "The Boys," as fans call them, recently landed a cover of TV GUIDE by winning the magazine's first ever Fan Favorite cover contest with over 5.5 million votes cast. Supernatural offers plenty of action and gore but true fans of the series, and those most likely to attend the convention, love the brotherly bond between Ackles and Padalecki's characters of Dean and Sam Winchester.
This special weekend will feature appearances by other Supernatural stars and also includes fan made video presentations, auctions, Supernatural costume, trivia and centerpiece contests, Supernatural themed parties and music and merchandising.
