Google Inc.'s YouTube recently expanded its movie rental capacity as it adds 3,000 titles to it's rental list.
Early last year, YouTube offered movies from the Sundance Film Festival. The site had limited selection of titles to rent. The choices included the Weinstein Co.'s 2006 release Scary Movie 4 and Lionsgate's 2007 slasher film Saw IV.
Now, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Bros., Universal Pictures, Lionsgate movies are available to be viewed on YouTube the same day they are available on other on-demand services. Prices for new releases starts at $3.99.
Among the newly released film available for rent on YouTube are The Green Hornet (Columbia Pictures), Inception (Warner Bros.), and Oscar winner The King's Speech. Classics like Goodfellas and Taxi Driver are also available and are priced $2.99 and up.
