James Cameron's Titanic will once again hit theaters worldwide in 3D version in 2012.
The re-release of the commercial and critical film on April 6th, 2012 will mark the 100th anniversary of the liner that was set to sail from England to America on April 10th, 1912.
In a statement issued by the distributors and studios, Cameron said, "There's a whole generation that's never seen 'Titanic' as it was meant to be seen, on the big screen. And this will be 'Titanic' as you've never seen it before, digitally remastered at 4K (resolution) and painstakingly converted to 3D."
Titanic which was released in 1997 and starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, won 11 Oscars including best picture and best director for James Cameron. It grossed $1.8 billion worldwide and for the longest time, held the most successful movie title until another of Cameron's own creation, Avatar took the title after it's released.
