Muse's Front Man Uses Baby's Heartbeat on New Song
Muse's sixth studio album the 2nd Law will be released next week.
Matt Bellamy says of the recording, "It was totally spontaneous, two days before the baby's arrival, and Kate (Hudson) was in hospital, with this... strap thing, which I had no idea about, and suddenly we could hear everything. It was incredibly emotional. So being a musician... "I recorded it on my mobile phone. And weeks later, I was in the studio, and it came back to me, this incredibly rarefied recording."
The result, Follow Me, is the sixth song on 2nd Law, the sixth album from the chart-toppers who have, to date, sold 5 million records, and are celebrated as one of the world's great live bands too.
What do you think? I like Muse, so I am excited to hear the new record. Putting his baby's heartbeat in a song? Aw! What a proud Papa!

Nikki Reed comments about Johnny Lewis' Death
The Sons of Anarchy star plunged from a rooftop following a fight with his landlady Catherine Davis, who was later found beaten to death in the property in LA.
The actress tells E! News, "It's horrible and shocking news. He was the nicest guy. I never thought anything but great things about him. I have nothing to say except that he was a really nice guy. It's just crazy."
Reed starred in the third season of hit TV show The O.C. alongside Lewis in 2006, and she has spoken out about the actor following the tragedy.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum also knew and worked with Lewis. "It's so sad," the 10 Years star said. "It's a sad example of what happens if you lose your way in this town."
Lewis is survived by a daughter. This is an awful story on every level. We send condolences to the Lewis and Davis families.

"A Casual Vacancy" is on Sale Now
File under: We've got to read this, right?
British bookshops opened their doors early on Thursday for the U.K. launch of "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling's long-anticipated first book for adults, "The Casual Vacancy."
There were no huge lines or wizard costumes. This novel is most definitely for adults causing some controversy for parents who need to say "no" to youngsters who wanted give this non-Harry novel a try.
It's highly likely nothing Rowling publishes will ever match the success of the Potter books, which have sold more than 450 million copies around the world.
But booksellers are confident "The Casual Vacancy" will be one of the year's best-sellers, whatever reviewers say.
What do you think? Do you want to read it?

Celine Dion, Usher and Jennifer Hudson were the first performers to be announced by The Recording Academy on Thursday for “We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute To Whitney Houston” on CBS on Nov. 16.However, there are many celebrities that want to help the Houston family deal with the singer's untimely death.
The concert will be taped in Los Angeles on Oct. 11 and will also feature interviews and footage with the late singer, as well as artists sharing their memories of her.
Houston’s death at age 48 from accidental drowning in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel on the eve of the Grammy awards in February shocked the music world. Authorities deemed her death was also a result of heart disease and cocaine use.
The televised special will be timed with the release of release of a compilation album in November, “I Will Always Love You - The Best of Whitney Houston,” featuring 16 of Houston’s best-known hits and two previously unreleased songs, including a new duet of “I Look To You” with R. Kelly.

Tamela Mann was a recent guest on Artists on demand and talked about how professional and kind Whitney was and what a joy to work with on the set of Sparkle You can listen to our interview here.

Reese Witherspoon & Jim Toth Welcome a Baby Boy
Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth welcomed Tennessee James in to their family. What a cute name!
Ms.Witherspoon is also mom to 12-year-old daughter Ava and 9-year-old son Deacon with ex Ryan Phillippe.
Despite being admitted to the hospital for observation in August, she'd been on the go throughout her pregnancy, hanging out with her kids and hubby, playing tennis, lunching, shopping, attending the Cannes Film Festival in May and Drew Barrymore's wedding in June, shooting Devil's Knot in Atlanta, flying to Nashville to deal with family matters—the sky was the limit for the founder of Type A Films.
Plus, she gave Robert Pattinson refuge when he first found out about Kristen and the director. She has always seemed incredibly grounded and cool!

The Mindy Project, Yay or Nay?
First off, I must say, Tuesday night TV is the best night of TV for the week. (Other than Thursday, of course.) With an amazing and hilarious line up this Fall, it was hard to pick and choose which shows to watch, which to DVR, and which to catch On Demand. Although, I knew that with out a doubt I HAD to be sitting on my couch for the premiere of The Mindy Project. And, let me tell you, I was not disappointed.
Like a few other shows this Fall, I have been waiting for months to see the premiere of this show. Mindy Kaling is one of those people who is just too funny not to watch anything that involves her. Being that this show is her television "baby" of sorts, it was sure to be at the height of hilarity! And, it was, my friends.
Any show that combines a single girl looking for love (in all the wrong places), references to classic Rom-Com's like When Harry Met Sally, sharp wit, and an atractive cast, is a #1 in my book. Given it's time slot being mixed in with Fox's other hit comedy show, New Girl, it is sure to pull in the right audience.
Kaling's main character, Dr. Mindy Lahiri, an OBGYN with a heart of gold and rollercoaster love life, is extremely likable. She will remind you of one of your own beloved friends, I promise you.
Danny, played by Chris Messina, is a fellow Doctor at the hospital Kaling's character works at. He combines that gruff caveman kind of persona with a little but of teddy bear attached. Of course, he comes off as a completely insensitive for most of the premiere episode, but low and behold, at the end you catch a glimpse of the good guy inside. He keeps Dr. Lahiri on her toes, and I think those two will have a great friendship (or more) up ahead.
Jeremy, played by Ed Weeks, is another co worker of Dr. Lahiri's. He is the British cutie pie whom she spends her recreational time with. (If ya catch my drift) They are friends, with and additional bonus. It appears that she knows this isn't the healthy way to finding her one true love, but she is still having her fun in the mean time. Plus, he's completely charming, so how could you resist?
And, of course, every single gal needs her best gal pal! That's where Gwen, the official BFF off Mindy Lahiri comes in the picture. Anna Camp does a great job of playing a character living the exact opposite of her Best Friend's life. Gwen is married and has a daughter, and is seen giving Lahiri love and relationship advice to throughout the premiere episode. To which Lahari promises that she will change her way and find true love.
Over all, I say The Mindy Project will be an excellent watch for the season. Definitely, a YAY, on our end!
Have you watched it? What did you think? Yay, or Nay? Let us know!
YOU MIGHT KNOW:
Mindy Kaling from her days on The Office as character Kelly Kapoor.
Chris Messina as Reese from The Newsroom, or as Chris Sanchez on Damages.
Anna Camp from many popular shows such as: True Blood, Mad Men, and The Good Wife. She is also starring in Pitch Perfect, which hits theaters October 5th.

While there is no “official” word just yet – This announcement of a contest showed up on the network’s Website that gives a lucky fan the chance to appear on set for season 4.
Oops! Well, it's not really that bad. First of all, the contest is to benefit a Red Cross Blood donation drive and that is a good thing, right? Lil Wayne edges out Elvis on Billboard Record
Today is Lil Wayne's 30th Birthday! Have a great Birthday, man!
He made, not only Rap, but Rock-n-Roll history recently. The rapper just surpassed Elvis Presley as the leading male with the most entries on the Billboard chart.
Lil Wayne now has 109 songs on that chart with Thursday's debut of Game's song "Celebration," where he is a guest alongside Chris Brown, Tyga and Wiz Khalifa. Of his 109 charted songs, only 42 are led by Lil Wayne; 67 are songs where he is the featured act.
Elvis totaled 108 songs on the Hot 100 since it launched in 1958. Presley's career kicked off before that and several of his songs — like "Heartbreak Hotel" — could not be included in his total number.
The "Glee" cast has the most Hot 100 entries with 204.

Lady Gaga Goes Public with Body Issues to Help Others
File Under - Gaga gets even cooler.
Say what you will about her music, or her over the top style, but the Lady has bravery and class. Lately she has been getting hit by the media for her weight gain, so she fired back with honesty and pictures.
On Tuesday, Gaga posted this photo of herself wearing nothing but a yellow bra and underwear, along with this caption: “Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15.” With the picture, she announced the launch of a new movement, “A Body Revolution 2013,” meant to encourage body acceptance.
The Mother Monster’s positive message resonated with her Little Monsters, as you might expect. Soon after her post went up, fans began flooding the website with photos of themselves in their underwear and sharing their own personal struggles with body image issues. There are some amazing stories posted on the site.
Maybe there are people with perfect bodies out there somewhere, but I would wager that even they think things like, "I wish I didn't have this scar...." We all have body issues. Many thanks to Gaga for throwing down the gauntlet to help us face them.

Billboard names Katy Perry "Woman of the Year"
Katy Perry has won Billboard‘s Woman of the Year Award. While you could say her 2011 was more impressive, this year she accomplished quite a lot, including a world tour, releasing “Wide Awake,” starring in a 3-D movie and a Sims video game.
Perry will be presented Woman of the Year Award at the 2012 Billboard Women in Music event on Friday, Nov. 30, in New York City, capping off a year that's seen the pop star break chart records, release a 3D feature film and bring her candy-colored tour all over the world.

Billy Joe, of Green Day, enters rehab!
Green Day lead singer, Billy Joe Armstrong, has checked himself into rehab. This seems like the mature and responsible thing for him to have done after the public outburst he made during his set at the iheartradio music fesitval 3 nights ago.
A representative for the band released a statement to E! News on Sunday stating, " Green Day would like everyone to know that their set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those they offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. The band regretfully must postpone some of their upcoming promotional appearances."
Armstrong reportedly made quite the profanity filled scene on stage when he apparently thought they were being cut off stage early to make more time for other artists to perform.
We wish Green Day, and Billy Joe the best of wishes for a full recovery during this time. Our thoughts are with you all.

Partners Premiere! Yay or Nay?
The time has finally arrived for the world to see the premiere episode of Partners! I, for one, have been anticipating this night for months! (Ever since the series finale of One Tree Hill, a show VERY near and dear to the Artists on Demand crew's hearts.) The moment I learned that the beautiful, Sophia Bush, and the comical, Michael Urie, were going to be on one show together I was sold. I just knew mixing those two together with David Krumholtz and Brandon Routh was a brilliant casting decision, and sure to be one made for television gold!
And I was right!
Partners is fantastic! This 30 minute sitcom created by the team who brought us Will & Grace, definitely delivers the laughs. It's very reminiscent of old favorites like Friends, and the aformentioned, Will & Grace. It's been compared to both of those for months now, and being that those are two very successful and hilarious comedies, how could it not be just as great?
The sitcom shows you inside the lives of two best friends, whom are also business partners, Louis (Urie) and Joe (Krumholtz), and their special someones, Wyatt (Routh) and Ali (Bush). Giving us unsight into and unbreakable friendship, and the shenanigans that happens when you mix seperate relationships into that friendship. The show is an excellent blend of funny, but not slapstick humor, and good clean fun. It is definitely a family friendly show from what it seems after the first episode.
PRO: From the amazing cast, the humor, and the creative team behind it, this show is sure to be a hit!
CON: It is in a tricky timeslot, being that it's up against big shows like Bones, Dancing With The Stars, The L.A. Complex, and The Voice. Hopefully those that don't tune in will watch it On Demand, or DVR it so it still gets great ratings!
YOU MIGHT KNOW:
Sophia Bush from her days portraying Brooke Davis on the CW's One Tree Hill.
Brandon Routh as Superman in the movie Superman Returns.
Michael Urie as Marc St. James from the ABC hit show, Ugly Betty!
David Krumholtz from his run on the CBS show, Numb3rs, as Charlie Eppes.
Have you watched it yet? Let us know what you think! Yay or Nay?

Ready to rock again? No Doubt!
Source: Rolling Stone |
"That's pretty complicated stuff when you start to really look at it," 42-year-old lead singer and lyricist Gwen Stefani says. "You're playing this role your whole life — the singer of No Doubt — totally committed to this in the greatest kind of way, and then all of a sudden, you're saying, 'Actually, you guys cannot be No. 1 anymore or else this is not going to work.'"
It did work, however, "Push and Shove," their first studio album in over a decade, blends their special mix of ska and British New Wave with lyrics that reveal some challenges of their new lives.
"Here we go again/Are you insane?" Stefani sings in first single "Settle Down." ''Don't get me started/I'm trying to get a hold on this/Get in line and settle down."
The band show few outward signs that it's been 26 years since No Doubt began. They all still wear eyeliner, have their hair bleached or in a mohawk, maybe both, and are stick-figure thin. Stefani herself seems to have defied time and can rock a belly-baring top better than ever. It's hard to believe they are all in their forties.
During the No Doubt's extended break, they all explored their own personal art forms.
Gwen, who is married to former Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale, put out two solo CDs, toured and designed clothes under her label L.A.M.B.
Guitarist Tom Dumont produced two CDs for Matt Costa, including "Songs We Sing." Young worked with Scott Weiland and performed with several acts including Colt Ford.
Kanal collaborated on two songs — "Sober" and "Funhouse" — with Pink and helped write songs with an array of artists, including Weezer, Shontelle and former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt.
Back together again, they insist their chemistry is better than ever and that the time away recharged their batteries. Now this onetime garage band that endured rifts, long tours, writing block and mega-fame are now happy that their music is no longer their first love.
Check out the new album "Push and Shove" which goes on this week. I can't wait!

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). 2010 marks 10 years since 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of volunteers across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $50 million towards fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 200 research projects nationally.

End of Watch: Movie Review
Have you ever watched an episode of COPS and wished it went on for just another hour or two? If your answer to the previous question is “yes”, then End of Watch is the film for you. The story revolves (quite literally) around two police officers named Mike Zavala, played by Michael Pena, and Brian Taylor, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, who have been targeted by members of a Mexican cartel after making quite the discovery while patrolling the streets of South Central Los Angeles. If I had to use one word to describe the movie, I would probably use ‘raw’. The story is enticing and the script, absolutely riveting. With the film being made as a documentary, it felt as though you were watching a home video the entire time. I won’t give too much away, but I will tell you that there won’t be one dry eye in the house after watching this movie. The intensity of the friendship between Mike and Brian is portrayed beautifully on screen; the strongest bromance on film to this day.
One of the main things I enjoyed about the movie, besides the quirky remarks between the two cops, were the scenes filmed inside the cop car. The chemistry between Pena and Gyllenhaal is clearly palpable and you can tell they enjoyed themselves while making this movie. The movie is packed with action; I was always at the edge of my seat, wondering if they would make it through the next bust or not. Pena and Gyllenhaal were brilliantly supported by the rest of the cast which consisted of Anna Kendrick, America Ferrera and Natalie Martinez. I can spill too much more without giving the whole movie away, but I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I truly enjoyed the film, which is why I encourage you to head out to the movie theater this weekend and spend your hard earned $12 on this spectacular motion picture. Simply put, End of Watch is a story about the good cops out there; the ones we forget about when we’re getting that speeding ticket. End of Watch is in theaters September 21st, make sure to go check it out!

Snowboarder Shaun White Arrested!
Metropolitan Nashville Police were called to the Lowes Vanderbilt Hotel on Sunday in response to a call reporting that a fire alarm was pulled by an intoxicated man. They arrived on the scene, which led to the arrest of Shaun White, 26.
There was reportedly a bit of a struggle between White and the bystander who phoned the police about the incident. White was apparently trying to flee the scene of the crime, when the bystander stopped him from getting in the cab and called the Police. White then allegedly tried to run away on foot and when the bystander chased him, White ran into and fell backwards, leading him to hit his head on a nearby fence.
Shaun White, famous for winning gold medals in both the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics, and a fashion designer, has been charged with public intoxication and vandalism.
