Lady Gaga Honoured for Gay Rights Campaign

Last Monday, March 21st, Lady Gaga was honoured at a ceremony in Washington D.C. for her work to promote gay rights in the military. Unfortunately, the Poker Face hitmaker was not able to attend and receive her award at the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network's dinner as she is currently on tour. Lady Gaga sent a video message which she recorded while on flight on a private jet.

"I am honoured to accept this award from this organization that has been dedicated to the servicemembers for the last 17 years, and I recognize that this fight doesn't end here. We still have so much more to do," Lady Gaga said in her video.

Lady Gaga has been a vocal and firm supporter of the campaign against the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy. The DADT policy bans U.S. service personnel from revealing their homosexuality.
