Mariah Carey gave birth to twins

American singer Mariah Carey gave birth to twins today, Saturday at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles, Associated Press reported.

According to Carey's representative, Berger, Carey and husband Nick Cannon welcomed a baby boy and a baby girl. Baby girl was born first, she weighed 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; while her brother weighed 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches.

The twins were born on their parents' third year wedding anniversary. The couple have not yet named their newborns.

Amazon.com's 69 cent store

This week Amazon.com launched a stored where costumers can purchased songs for 69 cents. This was the site's attempt to bring more people to their e-commerce website.

Amazon.com had cut the price of the song to 69 cents in the past but this is the first time a page is specifically dedicated just to this offering. About 200 songs out of the 15 million available have been cut to 69 cents and on Friday, 26 songs from the top 40 songs from artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry and Black Eyed Peas were included.

Director of Amazon Music stated that cutting the prices of the songs they have on their site boosts their music sales and it improves their music recommendation engine.

The Hangover sequel producers being sued by Tyson's tattoo artist

The Hangover: Part II producers are being sued by Mike Tyson's tattoo artist.

S. Victor Whitmill, the artist who created Tyson's iconic tattoo linked and copyrighted the inked art work. He is suing Warner Brothers' firm for allegedly using Tyson's tattoo in the upcoming The Hangover sequel without permission. Whitmill is also seeking the halt of the film's release and also banning the use of Helms' image (who the 'tattoo' was used on) from being used for the film's promotion and advertisement.

"When Mr. Whitmill created the original tattoo, Mr Tyson agreed that Mr. Whitmill would own the artwork and thus, the copyright in the original tattoo. Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc. - without attempting to contact Mr. Whitmill, obtain his permission, or credit his creation - has copied Mr. Whitmill's original tattoo and placed it on the face of another actor... This unauthorized exploitation of the original tattoo constitutes copyright infringement," the legal papers filed on Thursdy in federal court in Missouri stated.

The Hangover: Part II is scheduled to be released in late May.

Fox rescheduled cartoons' hurricane episode

The Animation Domination crossover event including Family Guy, American Dad, and The Cleaveland Show, where a hurricane sweep through all shows has been re-scheduled.

The event which was to take place on Sunday was pulled from the schedule and is planned to be shown next spring instead. This was due to this week's deadly storm in the South.

Reruns will be shown in place of the canceled event. The cancelled event/episodes in the series is said to not affect the story lines of each show.

First Theatrical Poster and trailer for 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon'

Yesterday, Paramount Pictures released the full length trailer for the newest Transformers movie. Today, the first theatrical poster for the film has been unveiled.

It features the great hero Optimus Prime with his human companion, Sam Witwicky, played by Shia LaBeouf. Also in the poster is Rosie Hungtington-Whiteley who plays Carly, Sam's new love interest. Her character is from the original 1984 animated series.

Transformers: Dark of The Moon is the sequel to Transformers and Transformers: The Revenge of The Fallen, all were by American director Michael Bay.

Written by Ehren Kruger, Transformers: Dark of The Moon is set to be released in 3D on July 1st, 2011.

"Queen of Soul" performs on U.S. TV after major surgery

American singer Aretha Franklin sang on "The View" earlier today, Thursday, after her surgery. The performance was the singer's first national TV performance since her illness last year.

Franklin performed two songs; one a new single titled "How Long I've Been Waiting" and her classic hit "Respect."
Franklin who also celebrated her 69th birthday in March, said that she had lost 85 pounds since her illness. She canceled her concert appearances last November on doctor's orders and underwent a major surgery.

Now, Franklin who recovered from the surgery said that she is "feeling wonderful, fabulous." She also said, "I have got more energy. I have changed my diet."

"Aretha: A Woman Falling Out of Love" is Franklin's newest album which will be out on May 3rd. She also has concerts scheduled for the summer

Artistic Analogies Film Co.'s "Franky, Frankly" to be screened in New York

Artistic Analogies Film Co. is planning to screen Matthew Anderson’s short “Franky, Frankly” in New York this summer.

The short film which stars Mikandrew Perdaris, Bella Dayne and Allan Hyde will hopefully be shown in the Saratoga, Albany and New York City area. Details regarding screen dates are still in discussion.

However, campaign to send the cast, including director Matthew Anderson and producer Kevin M. Slee started earlier this week. The campaign aims to raise funds to fulfill the team's goal of sharing the film across the nation. J.J. Returning to Criminal Minds

Fans were devastated when word that fan favorites, J.J. and Emily where being cut from Criminal Minds. Petitions popped up, fans hit twitter and facebook to vent, and angry letters were sent to CBS. It appears that the fans hit a spot, because A.J. Cook, who plays Jennifer Jureau, just signed a brand new two year contract with CBS to bring her character back, who has made a few appearances on the show this season.

It is also in the talks that Paget Brewster, who plays Emily Prentiss, may be making a comeback as well. The last time we saw Emily on the show, she had a life or death moment and fans were left wondering if she had died. With the talks of her returning, we can guess that she is not dead and there is a good chance of her coming back. Her return is pending if her new show she has filmed is picked up.

MTV starlette, Kristin Cavallari has always been the one swooping from man to man and never seeming satisified with what she was finding. It appears though, that there is a man out there that can reign in the Laguna Beach princess. Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears Quarterback, who has been dating Cavallari since last fall, surprised her with a trip to Cabo San Lucas and popped the question.

Ryan Phillippe to quit acting?

American actor Ryan Phillippe who starred in films like 54, Cruel Intentions and 2005 Academy Award winning film Crash, recently said that he is ready to quit acting.

The 36 year old actor told New York Post, "It is so hard to go out in LA. I'm going to move."

"I'm going to spend a third of my year in New York. I think I'm going to end my acting career."

Phillippe who has been acting for 20 years, stated that he is an introvert and that he is ready to go behind the scenes.

Phillippe's latest project is Steven Silver's The Bang bang Club in which Phillippe plays Greg Marinovich, a photographer who captured pictures prior to the Apartheid in South Africa.
The film is being shown at the Tribeca Film Festival starting April 21st, 2011.

Upcoming Olympic Games will be held in London, UK in 2012. And the stars of the country's most famous rock groups - the Beatles, Rolling Stones and Sex Pistols might come together to perform at the festivities' opening.

It has been reported that organizers of the upcoming 2012 games are working on a opening that will be directed by Academy Award winner Danny Boyle.

Sir Steve Redgrave, a gold medal-winning rower revealed his hope to see Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr team up with Sir Mick Jagger and John London for a spectacular supergroup displaying British music talent at the opening.

He stated, "The London Games gives us a chance to celebrate our own history... We have to show the world what we are good at. If Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo came together with great bands like the Rolling Stones and the Sex Pistols it would be fantastic. They are a huge part of our history. It would kick off the party and put us centre of the world's attention."

Baby boy for Toni Collette!

Australian actress and United States of Tara star, Toni Collete gave birth to a new baby boy on Friday.

Collette and husband David Galafassi and daugher Sage Galafassi was joined by the new member of the family- Arlo Robert Galafassi.

Collette and husband both expressed their excitement stating, “He was born on Good Friday making it the greatest Friday, indeed!”

The couple had their son in Australia.

Collette and musician Galafassi married in 2003. They had their first daughter in 2008.

John Sullivan, BBC writer, died at 64

Creator of Only Fools And Horses, one of Britain's most successful television, John Sullivan, died of illness at age 64 on Saturday.

Sullivan who was also behind other TV hits including Citizen Smith, Roger Roger and The Green Green Grass recently worked on a new BBC show Rock and Chips scheduled to be shown on BBC One on Thursday.

Gareth Gwenlan, producer of Only Fools and Horses and was a close friend of Sullivan said, "John was a writer of immense talent and he leaves behind him an extraordinary body of work which has entertained tens of millions of viewers and will continue to do so for many decades to come. I have had the privilege of working with John for over 30 years as a colleague and close friend. He was a writer at the peak of his creative powers with so much more to give."

Sullivan died in a private hospital in Surrey. He was married and had two sons, a daughter and two grandchildren.

Lady Gaga wanted cheek implants

Lady Gaga who was recently sported a raised bumps on her cheeks for her Born This Way cover art revealed that she would like to have face implants.

Gaga said that she would like the surgery to make her cheeks appear more angular.

However, Lady Gaga, who looked "into having them done permanently" decided against it. Lady Gaga said it was mostly because of her boyfriend bar manager and musician Carl Luc who was not supportive of the idea.

Pink purchased a new home

American singer-songwriter Pink was reported to have purchased a new home in California.

Pink, who is also expecting a child in the following weeks with husband Carey Hart, just finalized a deal to buy a £7.4 million lavish mansion in Malibu.

According to Daily Mail, the property has a swimming pool in the back yard, a large garden and a five-car garage and is also right next to American actor Matthew McConaughey's property.

Pink and husband Hart, a professional motocross racer, married on January 7th, 2006. They separated in 2008 but before their divorced were finalized, the couple undergone marriage counseling and got back together in 2009.

Emma Watson to change university

Harry Potter star Emma Watson is reported to be transferring out of Brown University.

There were stories of Watson being 'bullied' at Brown. New York Daily News reported that Watson was heckled during a September football game against Harvard where students yelled Harry Potter related phrases to the young actress. Daily News also reported that whenever Watson got a correct answer in the class, fellow students responded with Harry Potter phrases like "Three points for Gryffindor!"

Watson's representative, Vanessa Davies stated that there was no truth to the claims.

Davies also added that Watson "has absolutely loved her time at Brown" and that the actress made a lot of good friends there.

Davies did not offer the name of Watson's new university.

People recently reportedd that American country singer-songwriter LeAnn Rimes married her fiancé Eddie Cibrian.

The couple invited their friends and family and telling them they were attending an engagement party but it turned out that the guests attended an intimate wedding ceremony. The wedding was held on April 22nd (Friday) at a private Californian residence.

Rimes wrote on Twitter on Saturday, "Eddie and I are overwhelmed by the amount of lovely well wishes. We are blessed and.... I'm Mrs. Cibrian!!!!! So wonderful to wake up as husband and wife. Love to all of you."

Rimes and Cabrian got engaged later last year. They co-starred in Lifetime's TV movie "Northern Lights."

Manny Pacquiao Sings

Filipino pride and welterweight champion Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao is reported to be recording the track covered by artists like Tina Turner, Tammy Wynette, Rod Stewart, Barry Manilow and Engelbert Humperdinck - Sometimes When We Touch.

Pacquiao who has performed the 1978 hit before on "The Jimmy Kimmel Show," recorded the song with its creator Dan Hill.

Pulp Fiction stars John Travolta and Uma Thurman are once again teaming up in Oliver Stone's Savages.

Savages is a film "about a marijuana grower whose girlfriend was kidnapped and held for ransom by a Mexican drug cartel."

Travolta will be playing a "burned-out DEA agent" while Thurman will play the mother of the kidnapped girlfriend (Gossip Girl's Blake Lively.)

Jeremy Renner to star in new Bourne flick

American actor and Academy award nominee Jeremy Renner will be replacing Matt Damon in the upcoming Bourne movie.

Tony Gilroy's The Bourne Legacy, a spin-off of The Bourne Identity franchise will be about “an operative from a covert government progm tharat’s even more dangerous than the brainwashing program that hatched” Bourne.

The Hurt Locker star is also up to be in several films later this year and the following year. Being nominated for an Academy for the film The Town, Renner has been on demand. He will be in Paramount's Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, The Avengers and he will be briefly seen in Thor which will be out in two weeks.

It has also been reported that Renner has been considering to star opposite Eric Bana in Sheldon Turner's revenge thriller By Virtue Fall in the fall.

The Bourne Legacy starts production in September.

Jane Krakowski Welcomes a Baby Boy

30 Rock star Jane Krakowski gave birth to a healthy blond baby boy on Wednesday, April 13 in New York City. The news was confirmed by Krakowski's rep to People.

The new born baby boy who weighed in at 7 lbs and 12 oz. was named Bennett Robert Godley by Krakowski and fiancé Robert Godley. Bennett is the couple's first child.

"Bennett is an amazing, healthy sweet boy and we are both just crazy in love with him," Krakowski says.

Kate Beckinsale to star in Total Recall

Total Recall is getting a remake.

The 1990 science fiction action classic will be remade by American director and screenwriter Len Wiseman. It was reported recently that Wiseman’s wife, English actress and Underworld franchise star Kate Beckinsale will be playing the female lead role. Colin Farrell will be playing the male lead role.

Total Recall (the remake) is set to begin filming in May and scheduled to be released in 2012.

Fight for Your Right Revisited, a short film directed by Beastie Boy Adam “MCA” Yauch, has been unveiled.

The short film stars Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood and Danny McBride who take on the personas of the Beastie Boys rappers.

Susan Sarandon and Stanley Tuccie are also featured in the short film which segues to the group’s music video “Make Some Noise.”
“Make Some Noise” is the group’s first single from their album Hot Sauce Committee, Part Two which is scheduled to be released on May 3rd. Stars like Rainn Wilson, Steve Buscemi, Will Arnett and Kirsten Dunst make cameos in the video.

Cage Back to Work After Release

After his arrest on Saturday and being bailed out by Dog the Bounty Hunter later the same day, actor Nicolas Cage returned to the set of his new film on Monday.

Cage was reported be to on time and ready to work. Cage is filming his current kidnap-thriller film "Medallion" with Malin Akerman.

Nicolas Cage was arrested on Saturday for "domestic abuse battery, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness." Duane "Dog" Chapman reportedly paid $11,000 bond for Cage to be released.

Surprise Coachella Performance from Paul McCartney

Sir Paul McCartney surprised the Coachella audience during the Californian festival when he popped up and joined Ductch DJ Afrojack on stage.

According to a source who spoke to British newspaper The Sun: "It was a weird and once-in-a-lifetime experience. Paul popped up in Afrojack's set and was having it on stage behind the DJ booth. Nancy was standing behind him like a typical house DJ's girl.

"I think a lot of the ravers thought they were seeing things - when word spread around the site, everyone thought it was a wind-up."

Later on, Usher had a dance-off with the 68 year old former Beatles member on stage.

The three day event which ended on April 17th saw headline sets from King of Leon, Arcade Fire and many others.

Annie Lennox Retires From Touring

Scottish recording artist Annie Lennox recently announced her tour retirement. On Friday, April 15, Lennox posted a message on Facebook thanking her fans for their support over the years. In the message, she had included that she will probably never tour again.

Lennox stated, "You've sent in the most lovely comments, and it's kind of thrilling to get replies from as far as Hawaii to Poland! I doubt that I'll ever tour again because quite honestly... it just wears me out mentally and physically, and my back and left foot are rubbish."

"In any case, I think I spent enough time waiting in cars, hotel rooms and dressing rooms... In the future performers will tour by hologram on a regular basis... love Annie." Lennox finished.

Lennox was a former Eurythmics frontwoman and has been performing gigs since her career started in the late 1970s. As a solo artist, Lennox popularized classic hits like No More I Love Yous.

Lennox's music were also featured in films such as Francis Ford Coppolla's Bram Stoker's Dracula (Love Song for a Vampire) and Peter Jackson's The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King (Into The West.) Lennox won the Academy Award for Best Song in 2004 for Into The West.

In the recent years, Lennox has done and concentrated on her philanthropy work.

Nicolas Cage Bailed Out by Dog the Bounty Hunter

It was reported that reality star Dog the Bounty Hunter bailed out actor Nicolas Cage.

Dog said, "I am a truly dedicated fan of Mr. Cage and will not be granting any interviews about my client as I wish to respect his privacy. I performed my duties as a bail bondsman and not in connection with our show. This is what I do for a living."

Nicolas Cage was arrested on Saturday for "domestic abuse battery, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness."

Cage's wife, Kim was reported to not want Cage charged. Witnesses have said that there were no physical contact between Cage and his wife.

Cage married former waitress Kim in 2004. They have a son, Kal-El in 2005.

Nicolas Cage Arrested in New Orleans

American actor Nicolas Cage was arrested on Friday, April 16th, in New Orleans. Cage was reported to be arguing with his wife outside a residence in the French Quarter which Cage claimed they were renting.

The 47-year old Academy Award winning actor was taken into custody on Friday at about 11:30 p.m. He was book on the suspicion of "domestic abuse battery, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness."

According to spokesman Gary Flot in a written statement, "(Cage) and his wife were standing in front of a residence that he insisted was the property the couple was renting. She disagreed and Cage grabbed her by the upper arm and pulled her to what he believed was the correct address."

Cage then began striking cars and tried to pick up a cab. Flot added, "At that point, an officer who had been flagged down by on-lookers drove up on the couple, immediately observed that Cage was heavily intoxicated, and ordered him out of the cab, which prompted Cage to start yelling. The officers subsequently took Cage to Central Lock-Up."

Flor also stated that there were no visible injuries to Cage's wife.

Cage was expected to appear in court on Saturday afternoon.

Paris Hilton to star in a new reality show

Reuters reported that Paris Hilton will be starring in her new reality series The World According to Paris which will premiere in June, 2011 on Oxegyn.

Hilton said in an conference about the new reality show that fans will see a different side of her. Hilton together with Nicole Richie starred in the reality show The Simple Life back in 2003. The series last aired in August 2007.

Hilton stated that in The World According to Paris will show more of her real world including her friends, house and business as opposed to The Simple Life where she and Richie played a character.

Recently, Artistic Analogies Film Co. embarked on another vision this time working on Matthew Anderson's Franky, Frankly, a short film which stars Mikandrew Perdaris, Bella Dayne and Allan Hyde. Another later project from Artistic Analogies Film Co. is Chapman University Film Production student Kevin M. Slee's The Secret Life of Jonathan Sky. Jon Bon Jovi's Home Burglarized

American rock star Jon Bon Jovi’s $22.25 million, 15-acre estate was recently burglarized. Bon Jovi’s mansion located in Middleton , New Jersey was one of the at least four houses that were targeted by 21 year old Nicolas Tracy.

Tracy was arrested after the alarm in one of the houses he was robbing went off. Tracy was reported to have taken $100,000 worth of Bon Jovi's wife, Dorothea Bongiovi's jewelry during the burglary.

AJ Cook and Paget Brewster Returning to Criminal Minds?

News is sweeping the internet that female agents, Emily Prentiss, played by Paget Brewster, and J.J. Jareau, played by A.J. Cook might be returning to the BAU next season. The two were cut at the beginning of the current season for "creative and financial reasons". Prenitiss was written out as a past enemy came back trying to kill her and in the end succeeded.... maybe... while J.J. was transferred to the Pentagon unwillingly.

According to the studio, Cook was sent over an offer last week to return in the new season, while Brewster is also in talks to return if her new show on NBC doesn't get picked up by the network. Up in the air is the new girl on set, Rachel Nichols, who is playing the new agent filling Cook and Prentiss' role. Will she also be returning or will she lose her spot if the two return?

All these changes are coming as the old producer, Ed Bernero, is being replaced by new producer Erica Messer. If everything goes according to planned, the old team will be back together before we know it.

ABC Cancels Soaps

Executives at ABC made some hard decisions today as they made the decisions to cancel two of daytime televisions soap operas. They canceled "All My Children" and "One Life To Live". Getting through the cut was the second most popular show in daytime TV, Guiding Light. The two cut shows will make their final appearance in September 2011 and January 2012 before going off air for good.

These two soaps are just among the few shows that got the cut so far in the 2010-2011 TV season. Do we know what is coming next? "All My Children" first aired in 1970 and "One Life To live" first aired in 1968.

Dylan Performs His First Gig in Vietnam

American and legendary folk singer Bob Dylan performed his very first Vietnam gig last Sunday.

Dylan whose songs became the anti-Vietnam war anthems of the 1960s during the Vietnam war played in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon.

The 69 year-old musician jammed on stage with his guitar, harmonica and keyboard and performed hits including A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall and Highway 61 Revisited.

Big-name concerts are said to be still rare in the Communist country of Vietnam. The government maintains a strict control of what is said in public and Dylan's song list had to be approved in advance although Rod Quinton, the concert's promoter, stated that there were no restrictions imposed.

Dylan also performed in Shanghai (China) on Friday after his debut show in Beijing last Wednesday.

Stolen Rare Superman Comic Book Recovered After a Decade

About a decade ago, a rare Superman comic book was taken from American actor Nicolas Cage. The said comic book was the mint copy of Action Comics No. 1, which introduced Superman in 1938 and appeared to have been discovered in a storage locker in the San Fernand Valley last week.

Los Angeles Police Department's Art Theft Detail's Detective Don Hrycyk said Monday that the comic has been authenticated and appeared to be the one stolen from Cage in 2000.

Cage was reported to have accepted an insurance pay-out after the comic book's theft and "will have to work out the details with the company."

In March 2010, a copy of the Superman issue was sold for $1.5 million; it originally sold for a dime.

Baby News!

Tori Spelling today confirmed that she and husband Dean McDermott, are indeed pregnant with their third child.

Spelling shared the news through her Twitter page as she posted, "I know there’s been a lot of speculation, so I wanted everyone to hear from me… Its official…Dean & I are PREGNANT!!!!”
Spelling, 37, and McDermott, 44, married on May 7th, 2006 in Fiji after their engagement in December 2005. The couple has a son Liam (4) and Stella (2.) McDermott has a 12-year old son from his previous marriage.












On another news, Academy Award winner Benecio Del Torro is also expecting a child with reality star, Kimberly Stewart, daughter of British musician Rod Stewart.

Publicist Robin Baum stated that the 44-year old Del Torro and 31-year old Stewart are looking forward to the baby's arrival although the future parents are not a couple.

Tyra Banks Trying For A Baby?

America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks hinted recently that she is trying to have a baby with boyfriend, businessman John Utendahl. Banks told TV presenter Piers Morgan that she "definitely want babies." And when Morgan pressed on the subject asking Banks if it will happen soon, Tyra replied, "Yeah." Banks also stated that getting married is "necessarily necessary," dismissing the suggestion she would get married first before she has a child.

Nesson's Cameo Cut From "The Hangover 2"

Irish actor Liam Neeson came to Los Angeles to film a scene for his cameo role in the American comedy The Hangover 2. However, it has been reported that Neeson's cameo has been cut off the film as Hangover director Todd Phillips wanted to re-shoot the scene but Neeson was no longer available as he started filming Clash of The Titans 2.

"I came to L.A. for a day and did it. I did a scene, which is supposed to be in a tattoo parlour in Thailand. I'm the tattoo artist, covered in tattoos, 'Ireland forever'... Shamrocks and all that s**t," Neeson said about his cameo role.

Neeson who initially replaced Mel Gibson for the Hangover 2 cameo role was replaced by actor/director Nick Cassavetes.

The Hangover 2 stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms. It is scheduled to be released on 26th of May.

Robert Sheehan Leaving "MISFITS"

Petra Fried, excutive producer of British show Misfits announced today at the Kapow convention in London that Robert Sheehan will not be returning in the third series of the show.

Sheehan, star of Killing Bono and Season of The Witch is well known for his character Nathan Young, the loud and foul mouth, Irish lad who also happened to have an ASBO.

Sheehan's character will be replaced by a new character named Rudy, however, casting for this character is still on-going. It was reported that E4, the channel which airs Misfits, will post on their website a short film that will deal on Nathan's departure from the series. The short film will be posted prior to the first episode of the third series.

Misfits is a BAFTA Award winning British comedy-drama that centers on a group of young offenders who while doing their community service attained superpowers after a strange electrical storm.

Misfits' third series is scheduled to air later this year on E4.
