With certain organizations in an uproar over Rihanna's new music video "Man Down", it was only a matter of time before the music icon yelled back! Rihanna's new music video shows her in what most would assume a post rape state, and also shows her shooting a man in cold blood... in what can only be assumed as premeditated murder.
The Parents Television Council is condemned the video saying it was far to graphic and violent in nature to be showing children and that Rihanna should act as more of a role model. What does Rihanna say? Well, the superstar went to twitter to voice her opinion:
"I'm a 23 year old rockstar with NO KIDS! What's up with everybody wantin me to be a parent? I'm just a girl, I can only be your/our voice!"
:We have the freedom to make art, LET US! It's your job to make sure they don't turn out like Us."
"U can't hide your kids from society, or they'll never learn how to adapt! This is the REAL WORLD."
The rockstar diva does seem to have a point. It's art... not realism. Music is suppose to be about expressing yourself and having fun, while creating a story. Doesn't mean the story has to be true.
