Transformers: Dark of the Moon Review (NO SPOILERS)

As the press was filed into the movie theater, we couldn’t help but glance back at the line of fans that was easily four people wide and wrapped down the entire hall, across the lobby, out the doors, down the front of the building, and around the corner. Clearly the Transformers fandom had come out in full force to see the trilogies third installment, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, five days before being released to the general public. As a lot of them didn’t get in due to both theaters being jam packed, was it worth it for those who waited hours in line, and some in the rain, to be able to see the movie?

Absolutely! Transformers: Dark of the Moon exceeded any expectations that were given. The trailers did it no justice! We don’t want to give any spoilers away for those who haven’t seen it yet and are waiting in anticipation for opening night, but we will tell you the “feel” of the movie. Known for its random comedy throughout, the first two installments didn’t hold a candle to the hilarity of Dark of the Moon. Constantly laughing, even right after a huge action scene, Shia LaBeouf pulled out all the stops with how funny he really could be. His one-liners were the star of the show, facial expressions to match, and the other cast didn’t fall behind in making us all clutch our stomachs with laughter. Action… CHECK! New Decepticons were there to help, including Shockwave, who you see in the previews a bit, literally, tore up Chicago. They even slowed it down a bit with a few tearjerker moments. Think Optimus dying in Transformers 2, but multiply that sadness by about a hundred.

The only downfall to this movie is that it is extremely long and there are parts that are action free and sometimes left us wondering why they were dragging out the wait until the big doomsday fight, but this was made up for with humor and even a touch of romance. It was also well worth the wait to hear the soundtrack to this movie, which blew our minds! Pick it up! It’s worth it! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley surprised us by not being that bad! Although she was clearly flaunted for her amazing looks, her acting wasn't actually all that bad as we had anticipated.

All in all, without having been able to tell you all the gruesome details in fear that you would get mad at us for spoiling the movie, we give this movie 4 out of 5 stars, because lets face it… nothing is perfect. Check it out and make sure to tell us what your thoughts on it were.
