Fox and DreamWorks for Spielberg's "Robopocalypse"

Robopocalypse, the new sci-fi film by American director/producer Steven Spielberg is
a "story set in the aftermath of a robot uprising" (IMDb.) The film which will start production
early next year is based on Daniel H. Wilson's novel with the same title.

THR recently reported that Fox will be teaming up with DreamWorks to distribute the new Spielberg film which will hit the theaters worldwide on the 3rd of July, 2013. Disney will be distributing the film in the United States, while Fox takes care of its international release.

The screenplay for the sci-fi epic will be penned by Cloverfield writer Drew Goddard who also wrote for TV series such as Lost, Alias, Angel, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
