Bruce Willis to join G.I. Joe 2?

American actor Bruce Willis is said to be in talks of starring in the G.I. Joe sequel.



The 56 year old Hollywood actor is being courted to play General Joe Colton, the original G.I. Joe member who took the handle G.I. Joe in the comics. General Colton would command the Joes in the sequel, assuming the authoritative role of General Hawk which was played by Dennis Quaid in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.



Jon M. Chu (Step Up 2: The Streets and Step Up 3D) is directing the sequel, G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation. Channing Tatum returns as Duke with Arnold Vosloo (Zartan), Ray Park (Snake Eyes) and Byung-hun Less (Storm Shadow.) New cast joining the sequel are Dwaye Johnson (Roadblock), Ray Stevenson (Firefly), Adrienne Palicki (Lady Jaye), D,J. Cotrona (Flint), Joseph Mazzello (Mouse), Elodie Yung (Jinx), and RZA (Blind Master.)



G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation is scheduled to be released on June 29th, 2012.
