More than 150 artists united to bring the hunger in the Horn of Africa to end.
Stars such as The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, and U2 are among the well-known artists who are utilizing their Facebook pages and Twitter accounts to encourage their millions of fans to donate money to help the starving families in the said African region.
The social media campaign called I'm Gonna Be Your Friend was launched today by the music industry's top artists. The campaign can be found at www.imgonnabeyourfriend.org. At the site, there's a video for Bob Marley & The Wailers performing their 1973 sing High Tide or Low Tide. All donations and/or downloads of the song High Tide or Low Tide for $1.29 will go to the Save the Children foundation to help out the people in need in east Africa.
