Satellite radio channel Sirius XM will do a Nirvana tribute

In celebration of Nirvana's album Nevermind's 20th anniversary, Jon Stewart will be hosting a Nirvana special.



Stewart will be joined in by Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, former band members of Nirvana on a two hour show that will air on satellite radio channel Sirius XM. There will be a Q and A which will take place in New York City in front of selected Sirius XM listeners. It will air on September 23rd.



Scott Greenstein, Sirius' president said, "This is our way to honour the artists who, with the release of Nevermind, influenced a generation and marked a change in the course of music history no generation will ever forget."



The Hollywood Reporter reported that Sirius XM will also start a Nirvana station called Nevermind Radio, a dedicated station to the band which will go on live on the 23rd of September. It will play music from the band's albums, B-Sides, and live recordings.
