Modernizing the classic hit "Dirty Dancing"

The 1987 classic hit Dirty Dancing is getting a remake.



It's been reported that Kenny Ortega of High School Musical, who also choreographed the original Dirty Dancing film, has been hired by Lionsgate to direct the reboot.



Actress Jennifer Grey who portrayed Frances "Baby" Houseman in the massive box office hit film said to have given her support to the remake.



"I love @Kennyortega and trust that he will do something special #DirtyDancingRemake," Grey wrote on her Twitter account.



Dirty Dancing featured Jennifer Grey and the late Patrick Swayze who played Johnny Castle. The film was released on August 21st, 1987 and included songs (I've Had) The Time Of My Life, She's Like The Wind, and Hungry Eyes.
