American actress Sissy Spacek who won the Academy Award for her portrayal of Loretta Lynn in the 1980 biographical film Coal Miner's Daughter recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Spacek was honored on Monday with star number 2443.
Spacek is also well known for the 1976 horror film Carrie based on Stephen King's novel of the same title.
Spacek's latest film The Help, an adaptation of Kathryn Stockett's novel of the same name. The film also stars Emma Stone, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer. The Help will come out by the end of August.
